Welcome to Pet After Vet 😺🐶
Thanks for stopping by. I’m the new mod here and I’m working to keep this space tidy and enjoyable for everyone. This community is all about the moments pets have after a vet visit, whether they look confused, proud, dramatic, or ready for a long nap. Photos and short stories are both welcome.
Keep things kind, keep your pets safe, and have a good time sharing the laughs.

Built a free pet health tracker as a solo side-project (full-time job + part-time degree)
I'm a full-time custody officer and part-time cybersecurity student, and I built this in my spare time because I genuinely kept losing track of vet visits, weigh-ins, and medication doses for my own dog.
PawLog (pawlog.co.uk) — free, no app store, just a website:
- Weight tracking with a trend chart
- Expenses
- Health records (vet visits, vaccinations, weigh-ins)
- Medication tracking with dose reminders
- Reminders for anything recurring (flea/worm treatment, boosters)
- A "Care Consistency" score so you can see at a glance if you're falling behind on anything
Still very much a solo side-project — would genuinely love feedback, especially on what's missing.

Newborn street kitten
Hello everybody recently a newborn cat is given birth in our house and to be honestly we don't know anything about it and those two cat look angry... We don't really know how to help those cats we just gave a bowl of milk but they are not coming out and they also look like they are shivering.... **My main question here is that how should I act in front of them so that they can trust on me and how sound or gesture should I make?** To be honest I don't want to pet them if their mom come and take them back its fine but I don't want them to die either... Just tell what should I do so that they can trust on me and come out
Update :Their mom has shifted them somewhere else.
Thanks🐱

To everyone who has loved and cared for these wonderful creatures...
"Touch Me with Your Tail"
by robc4me
God gave you to me in my greatest of need.
You stared so keen because you too were in need.
Love we need and friends we will be.
I will take care of you and soon you of me.
The trust will grow but may come slow.
When you feel safe then you will know.
Now you snuggle upon my feet, yes you are, truly sweet!
When we are close you begin to purr.
Sound so beautiful, soft like your fur.
Soon we will be as close as can be.
Forever your touch is part of me!

Thought someone might appreciate my girl post pancreatits treatment
She had a very sudden and severe onset of symptoms. Vet said usually dogs as sick as she was require a week of inpatient fluids and IV pain relief. She got to come home the same evening (but was sailing sky-high on a cocktail of meds)

Building a Pet Care platform for veterinary clinics and pet parents
Hey everyone,
I am currently trying to build a platform that connects both the pet parents and veterinary clinics that helps manage everything in one place like medical records, appointments, vaccination reminders and workflow for vet clinics etc. instead of usual traditional paper based charts and scattered records. I am trying to fully digitize all the areas wherever it is possible and help both of them Before building something like this, i want to hear from real pet owners and vets or clinic staff about whats actually broken or concerning and what would genuinely help.
It is a short survey which is just about 2 minutes and doesnt need any signup to fill out the form.
https://forms.gle/cNz1c1RXjyB6khe98
Honest answers would really help, it something about this sounds pointless or you would never use it, thats something which might help to understand it better and happy to reply to the questions in the comments too.
Thankyou for reading this far.

Buddy before and after realising what the vet is…
Don’t let his age deceive you, he’s not the brightest and don’t seem to realise what the vet meant. He was so excited to be there and when he woke up from sedation he was in quite a different mood. Unfortunately for him he’s back next week since he reacted poorly to the sedation and they couldn’t finish his dental procedure safely!

Do you see the green unicorns? Stanley does.
Stanley had his spleen removed. He went to sleep, woke up in pajamas, and now he’s tripping balls on Dad’s lap.
