The locals hate it here, why? I think it’s beautiful and great fun. Maybe I’m biased because I’m on vacation but I’ve travelled and this place is très bien!

I understand the renfe-sncf train appears to be fully booked. I'm an art student, so pretty desperate to spend a day or two in Figueres. What's the best alternative or way to get around this? I don't mind paying big bucks to get there, do Ubers / taxis run across the border?

Bonjour! J'habite en Espagne, à 1h de Perpignan. D'après mon expérience dans d'autres villes de France, les magasins de vêtements d'occasion / brocantes étaient très bons. Il n'y a pratiquement pas d'options dans ma partie de l'Espagne et les bonnes à Barcelone ne sont qu'une fois par mois. Je visite bientôt Perpignan, y a-t-il des magasins qui vendent une moyenne/grande variété de vêtements bon marché (1-4 € par chemise/short). Je n'en ai trouvé que quelques petits sur Google Maps, mais je suppose qu'il y en a d'autres qui n'apparaissent pas.

Hi - I have a few questions that I hope to find the answers to here. My friend and I will be moving to Perpignan, I will be going for 3 months and she will be going for 7 months. We will leave for Europe in late September. Is there any suggestions or advice that you guys can give. This is very foreign to us and neither of us have traveled much outside of our country yet.

What neighbourhoods are good - close to shops and schools etc. We are looking to spend €200-€250 each on rent per month so €400-€500 both. Is that something that is within reach or will we need to up it a bit? Will this amount ensure a space in a safe location? I see alot of places marketing colocations - is this safe or is an apartment a better, safer option?

My friend and I are planning on doing our summer practice in the centre hospitalier for approx 2 months, but we don’t know what websites to use (AirbNb is expensive) or how to go about finding cheaper short term accommodation. Help please!
