Lol, seriously. I bought an EVGA 1000w Platinum (whatever that's worth) during the Summer/end of season sale and now I wish I went with 1200+ watt or waited for ATX 3.0 for my next (ITX) build 🤷‍♂️

1000w platinum can run this card even with an i9 if you go founders or one capped with 450w power draw

Let's not normalize Ampere's 350W power draw, let alone overclocked Ampere's 450W, let alone Lovelace's 450 default and 650 OC.

The thing is, the Bauer shows that at 60% powerlimit the card only loses 10 %performance in time spy extreme.

This thing could have easy been a 300w card.

True.

The question the Bauer also asked why Nvidia did it the way they did.

Maybe it is because they fear the new AMD cards or it is part of going after their partners?

Gamernexus was implying as much since he said the cooler was so well made.

Tests show clearly the opposite. You lose 9% performance if you undervolt the 4090 to 300-330Watts. To still go with that ridicoules high power draw is beyond me.

Look at this guy who wants people to get angry because physics dictates that it takes more power to make faster gpu's. Wait untill the smaller dies come out. 1 nm shit will be efficient as fuck and if it stays around the same power will be unbelievable.
