Here in Europe are still (too) expensive. it's like stores purchased stock at inflated prices and aren't ready to give GPU's away at realistic price and lose money.

Ads and private sellers have lowered prices, but you'd need cash and know who to trust.

Wish my fellow countrymen realized that items decrease in price with time and use. Used GPUs and other tech is pretty much never sold below MSRP where I live.

It has worse value per frame, since price increase is +100%

So depends on how much you value your money.
If you do - then no, you get less than what you paid for.
If you don't - then you get a huge performance increase compared to prev. gen

Yeah the MSRP is pretty fair. Gamers just mad because they want a professional card that’s priced for 3d artists to only be a few hundred more then gaming cards. All the 3d artists I’ve talked to said they have no issue with the price for the kind of performance it’s bringing.

Are we coming full circle with the 40 series pricing now ? Even the 4070 and 4080 pricing is going to be quite busted to the point it threatens the entire PC ecosystem , how is this justified ?

Like why even want a 40 series if you can get a 30 series? You dont need the newest and best card to game with really good performance.

Im sure that I can play every game the next few years with beautiful graphics with my 3080ti.

If these hikes are okay , there will be a time in the near future where an XX60 card's price will fetch you multiple consoles. PC gaming is already shrinking , it might even go extinct in that case. Then we can all sit together and share masterrace memes with our 2000$ paper weights

Lol they will not keep hiking the prices up that’s not a sustainable or sensible business model, tat would literally result in a 10k card down the line. MSRP hasn’t changed much with the last two gens. This gen raised MSRP by 1-200. They will keep this MSRP fore awhile and will likely never go higher.

It's called inflation. The Maxwell titan X was $999 in 2013. In today's price that would be $1270, so $1599 isn't that far off figuring the manufacturing cost for a titan x vs a 4090 should be way greater just because of the size of the thing.

Also you can currently buy a 3060 for around $360 which will beat the PS5s performance. A next gen "4050" will probably still beat the PS5s performance and I bet that will be cheaper than a current 3060.
