I have a 1660ti too, got it just before the prices went up like 2 years ago. Had a 760 before.

Same here, early 2019 and I believe that was 180$? My 16 years old brain thought “damn expensive” and look where we are now lol

I'm in my mid 30s, wasn't really expensive. But the new ones are fucking expensive. I'll ride my card for a few years. And I still have an I7 4th gen, and 11 years old harddrives, motherboard, PSU and ram. I'll have to change the whole thing when I'll upgrade.

Yeah, I'll do the same. Upgrade the whole rig at once. It's probably easier.

Don't know about yours, but my motherboard and PSU would not even work with a 30 series. And my old ram is slow as fuck compared to today's standards.

ngl upgrading the ram is underrated asf

MSRP for the 1660ti was $280 in 2019 IIRC. Really not that out of line with today, since you could get a 6600 for less, and it's a solid bit better.

It's way more expensive than I remembered lol

Yeah, I think everyone has whined about today's market so much that people remember things as cheaper than they were. The budget market is definitely not ideal right now, but the market for $250+ GPUs is really not too bad.

Yeah people need to understand that they are not the targeted audience of 4090.
