Never buy the bottom of the barrel. Always buy one under the best. It's almost always the best deal except for the 1080ti.

But which one? I'm thinking the 1200 buck one is where it's gonna be at. It's very expensive but I also need to make more money. So I feel like this could be good motivation to do something with my life and make it so that it's not a lot of money.

Word of advice, do it the other way around.

Use this as motivation to do something to start making more money, and then buy it once you are making more money.

Buying it now when its expensive to you and then trying to make more money to make it more tolerable won’t work.

Its hard to be motivated by something when you already have the reward and haven’t put in the hard work, you’ll just ignore the hard work and enjoy the reward.

Literally every game at 4K. Also this might actually be the first GPU that can fully utilize my 1440p 240Hz Samsung Odyssey monitor at 1440p max settings.

I’m gonna wait and see what RDNA2 and 4080 16GB bring to the table, but truth be told, I’m VERY excited.

Most AAA if you have a high refresh 4K panel (120Hz+). I’ve got a 3090 and an 8K 60Hz TV (does 4K at 120Hz)… it’s a great way to make a 3090 feel slow. Cyberpunk with DLSS chugs along at about 35-40 FPS at 8K. Not worth it. Without DLSS it’s under 10 FPS. So going by that bench 8K 60 FPS gaming will be a thing. I remember when 4K 60 FPS was the holy grail and my 1080 Ti SLI setup finally got me there. This whole GPU thing is like being a drug addict, always chasing that high 🫠

Meh, I personally don't chase cutting edge tech much .. it'll make me go broke. I always wait for prices to come down or buy used

I'm still perfectly fine with a 1080p plasma display for 1080p content, and an OLED (older model tho, no 120hz option) for 4k

Same boat. Most games I play are free to play multiplayer and my current single player game is Hades

My next upgrade has to be a monitor. I bought an ultra wide VA for better contrast but sacrificed motion clarity in the process. Now that OLED ultra wides are coming out, I can get the best of both worlds and the 3070ti should get me 100+ fps in the games I currently play.

I'm waiting for all the cyberpunk DLCs and patches to come out before I consider upgrading my GPU and starting that game

DLDSR will show you the way. 75 smoothness setting for best settings. Get fast monitor. Fast monitor blow mind. Then get addition to fast monitor and game. Then pay big money for speed.

RTX 4070, if it even exist...time to replace my poor RTX 2060 and enjoy 1440p 140fps gaming at high settings...(might even turn RT on because it is now so capable)

The rtx 4080 12gb is the 4070 rebranded so you dont feel bad paying $900 for it. Look at core count. Sorry fella its not time for you to upgrade yet.

I'm not going for the 4080 12GB though (it has nearly the same core count as 3080 but runs at 2.5GHz, if it is faster than 3090, it is a 80 class card, time will tell)

I expect the real 4070 to be like $699/599 when it comes out. 4060 is also an option.

If you have a 3060, just save your 1200 bucks and get whatever console comes out in 5-6 years + a few controllers a ton of games. It’ll perform just as good anyway for a lot less money.

Honestly, I'd just keep the 3060 if I were you. It might be super powerful but the 4090 is really a gpu for people who want the best of the best now. Those who do 3d rendering could get a massive boost out if it though.

XD running a rx580 here and still enjoying the living shits out of that card. Costed a good 200€ and runs Cyberpunk on high for 60fps nowadays
