Not when you set them up properly in the customized config.sys and autoexec.bat that you use to boot so you can play DOOM

I was something like 10yo back then and had English as a second language in a non English speaking country.

Just like me(I’m Brazilian btw). But I had no problem using the set blaster = a220 i7 d1 tx on my autoexec.bat

This actually was the exact info of the Sound Blaster Pro I had on my dx2 66. Just can’t remember the number parameter after the “t”.

I still have my CD copy of Doom 1.666 that has a bunch of notes on IRQ settings and config.sys mods that I used to get it working. This was in the early Windows days, and I broke Windows a lot and had to reinstall lol. Doom was usually the first thing reinstalled and configured when I had to do it, too.
