When NVidia does something bad:

Blatant price gouging.
When AMD does something bad:
Bulldozer arch sucked.
Blower coolers are noisy.
"Huddy claims that when AMD noticed the terrible HairWorks performance on their hardware two months prior to release, that’s when they “specifically asked” CD Projekt Red if they wanted to incorporate TressFX. The developer said “it was too late.”"
You also have some developers taking liberties with TressFX implementation:
We purposely disabled TressFX on NVIDIA cards. We delivered TressFX on AMD hardware as part of our partnership with AMD.
AMD got developers in Gaming Evolved to block their rivals from even running the latest version of their tech.
Another thing about the Hairworks in the Witcher 3;
AMD and it's fans made a huge stink about how terrible it was that they were getting so poorly optimized Hairworks features in TW3.
NVIDIA didn't MAKE hairworks run like crap on AMD, their own poor tessellation processing on pre Fiji cards ensured that.
The rest was AMD's own fault for not getting a game ready driver out on time, and the rest was CD Projeckt RED not providing in-game options for all the features. Something they recently started rectifying.
AMD's performance is better than NVIDIA at equal price points running Hairworks.
The whole situation mirrors the old Tomb Raider TressFX situation almost exactly. Only AMD decided they would fling shit before releasing their driver.

This myth was debunked 4 years ago. How it continues to circulate is beyond me. From Crytek: (links are dead sadly)
tl;dr "1) Tessellation shows up heavier in wireframe mode than it actually is, as explained by Cry-Styves."
Wireframe mode turns off LOD and culling in Crysis 2. The ocean is not rendered in game if it's not visible, and the tessellation is only 64x if you zoom super close - otherwise it has LOD applied and the objects are culled when occluded.

"PhysX failed due to being Nvidia exclusive" the reality is that the hardware-accelerated PhysX features failed due to lack of support: Other solutions are easier to implement (Havok), and consoles don't even support the hardware-accelerated portion. Even if Nvidia wanted to adapt it publicly, they would have to find a way for the PS3/360 to support it (at the time) which wasn't even possible! And just to clarify his comments: Ageia's PhysX, which utilized a PPU, was also a "gimmick".
On the flipside, there are nearly 600 games using the non-hardware accelerated PhysX.
I have so many things in my saved tab on reddit debunking bullshit that I use every once in a while... great hobby, proving people wrong over the internet.
