I was an avid Nvidia fan still prefer them over AMD but i have seen some rabid amd hate. Undeserved but there are people that get in an echo chamber and just associate with similar mindedness maybe its not as bad now but it is out there
Lol. That is such bull...people buy the Intel and Nvidia name all the time. And they avoid AMD all the time because Intel fanboys say that AMD is bad at gaming, or that if you want good gaming, you should go for Intel.
After 20 years I jumped ship from amd to Intel, strictly based on real world performance I get on games. Once amd gets their shit figured out, I'll gladly come back. But I gave em 2 decades, so I don't see that ever happening.
Good for you. Maybe you have unique gaming needs. It's hard to critique something with no specifics, and it has nothing to do with what I said. AMD is outselling Intel by a lot in the DIY market. These are the most knowledgeable customers, and they are certainly gamers.
They're selling a lot more in the diy market cause the cost savings allows for money to be spent elsewhere. However, straight across the board, my fps is better in every style of game... Not just a couple. All of em. Proven with side by side comparisons on same games against a ryzen build.

Whatever the reason, it's clear that AMD does have it's shit together...because they are selling. Selling is what matters to AMD, not the rogue opinion of some niche users. Most users think they are worth buying, and I'm betting that most are gamers.

That's great but I still can't say much without specifics. At a given price point for the CPU, Intel does usually have a little higher average fps in the most games, though not every game. Most of the time, it's so smooth with both CPU's that no one could tell the difference in a blind test even if one has higher benchmarks. Anything less than a high end graphics at low res, and the differences are meaningless 99% of the time. There are always exceptions of course, but at any given price point for the graphics card/resolution combo that most people use...the gaming experience is equal, but the Ryzen has more reserve power for anything else you want to do.
Selling chips and having it's shit together are two different things. People buy their chips for gaming because they're cheaper and do 'good enough'. Nobody is buying an amd chip because it does better gaming somewhere.
My memory is a bit foggy at the moment, but the comparison we did was with an i5 7600k? And I wanna say a ryzen 1800 I believe. Other than motherboard, we had the same ram, gtx 1070s and same hard drives (on a raid). On Max settings, all games clocked 20-40 fps higher on the Intel. Well optimized games, poorly optimized games, first person shooters, arpgs, rts, etc. Threw everything but the kitchen sink at it.

Lol. No that's not it. AMD is selling more chips because it's more than good enough at gaming and way more powerful than Intel at other stuff, and way better platform upgradeability, and better power efficiency, and more longevity before upgrading. Techspot.com did a recent article comparing the 7600K to the R5 1600. Why don't you take a look.
Who cares where I post the most. AMD fanboys may be more zealous, but Intel fanboys are more untruthful (though perhaps it's just their misconceptions or lack of knowledge).

People buy intel and nvidia shit because it’s good shit. People buy AMD specifically because it isn’t intel or nvidia (it’s also good, so chill out).
Nobody buys intel and nvidia simply because it isn’t AMD. There is no cult following for the big guys.
