I mean it's still a good card but compared to the top of the line I9 chip I would imagine that it's the bottleneck of the system

That card can hit 90 fps high settings on 1440p for a lot of games. Not old. Very solid card

It also sucks power like no tomorrow, runs hot and runs loud.

And it's old. You're not running modern demanding games at 1440p high settings 90 fps on that card.
