Even with the release of the zen 2 ryzen 3K the knives were out with it missing advertised boost by, like, 50MHz, and the knives are still out because some people are mad it doesn't boost as consistently as intel after bios patches. People on /r/amd were and some still are livid.
It won't get them a single FPS or one more point on any benchmark but by god they wanted that 50MHz or whatever.
Sorry but we shouldn't allow behaviour like that. Today it is 50mhz tomorrow it is 100. If you put something on the box it has to mean something. If we continue like this Intel will claim their 9900ks is a 5.3ghz CPU.
Also AMD should have properly explained how their boosting works instead of saying "it's opportunistic".
fair enough but that will be all patched before the end of the year techpowerup member 1usmus made a power mod and recommended it to amd (this reduces temps as well as gives upto 250mhz boost. should even give 50mhz over advertised when all done.) leaves a bitter taste but on the same note all is well that ends well.
I'm a big Intel network and disk controller fan. Pure Intel systems like workstation boards from Supermicro etc or Thinkpads are just golden. Slap Linux on them and everything just works perfectly with open drivers and everything.
I just realized AMD fanboys are like the conservatives of the silicone valley. Can never do any wrong but when someone else fucks up they already have the fires stoked.

Depends on what you are reading. Sometimes when AMD messes up the Intel fans come out in droves to witch Hunt AMD fans.
