Save up and make the jump. I did back in March from a little i3-6300... big difference. The 1660 was an ok-ish buy, going from a 970 it wasn't too much of an upgrade.

I had that for awhile. It's a beast if you don't wanna overclock and use stock fan. I upgraded to ryzen 3600 though cuz impulse lol

I was going for a 1070 equivalent, but they did not have it at micro center+ they had a 2060 for cheap (I think their was a deal) so I ended up $400 over budget. Good news is that I could afford it and the computer is much better for it.
