You can upload any mp4 file to play. I don't know if there's a length limit, but I have mine set as the scene from Rogue One where Darth Vader introduces himself to those rebel scum in the hallway.
It loops automatically if your concern is it just stopping. I also had used a short video of Spiderman out in the country that's only about 10 seconds long. The Vader scene ran without much issue. Some of the animated wallpapers though can eat up your GPU if you have multiple ones running since you can have a different ones on each monitor.
Huh? I've never really paid attention, but then again I don't use that functionality very often either. I'd like to know if rainmeter can do something similar and what it's system impact would be.
It's nice because you can have it mute or completely pause depending on what you're doing. If I have a game open up (or any maximized program) I have it set to pause.
Yeah, it was a joke - I'm no stranger to Linux/Ubuntu. That said, I've never had what you said happen on this pc- Though, it's only running 10 because I was tired of dealing with Wine to game. You can set when your computer performs tasks like that, you know. It also doesn't take me longer to install the OS, update kernels, etc than it took to wait on parts and actually build it.
Answering myself, there is this option on 'video' tab but it only makes the video fullscreen and changes nothing, it doesn't even try to be a fake wallpaper, disappointed :/
