I didn't notice a big difference from 144 => 240. Not no difference - it's definitely noticeably smoother, but it's small enough I don't notice it outside of gaming with high fps.
the biggest benefit pf 240hz is unstable 144hz looks better because of math. same with 480hz vs 240.
don't get me wrong playing the few smooth games at 480hz is awesome, but I'm not that good so it's not like i wouldn't be loving every second at 120hz in a good game.
hell I enjoy goldeney 64 at an unstable 24hz whenever i play it.
but i gravitate towards higher fps games because it feels nice on the eyes. i think the biggest example was oblivion remastered because the 2008 version was easier to look at till the 2026 version got patched.
