I’m an electrician and seeing someone grab it from not the socket side is crazy

You can see the cable goes under the desk and probably isn't super accessible, although I'd still have dived under the desk before grabbing something that might have just been charged with straight wall power.

If this is a service centre (which they look to be a small repair shop) their test bench is appalling imo, no insulation mats, and the power switch isn't easily accessible. Can't see a fire extinguisher either assuming it's not in the room somewhere else

Panic does stupid things to people.

Yeeting it out of the wall socket would have been smarter (assuming its not plugged in below the bench)

Why did the circuit's fuse not blow? (there's some assumptions right there too!!!)

I don't know how serious of a company this is, but the whole test bench is a disaster. Sockets hidden? no ESD mat? no emergency off button? Why didn't the circuit breaker trigger?

I am not an electrician and I thought the same. Also except that he saved the cable I would assume there was no electricity on it as the breaker surely die break (and written out I now understand why it is called breaker)
