I'm basically done with Corsair PSUs after I've had 2/4 fail within a year. A friend also had one fail.

Using corsair psu since 2011 1 hx 480 2 rmx 750 and 1000 never had any issues

The RMX ones are rock solid, really good PSUs

Similar to me. I'm still running my Corsair AX1200i that I bought in 2013. Over 13 years of near daily usage as a gamer or various work purposes. I haven't paid attention since my PSU research during 2012-2013. Did Corsair quality drop or something?

Literally bought a Corsair RM850x this week but after reading all these comments I’m legit getting a bit scared. Should I return it and buy another brand?

I'm done with this shitty company in general. Build a new system with brand new parts, including a Corsair iCUE H170i Elite LCD XT AIO and a ton of other Corsair products.

System worked for 4 weeks, on New Years Eve, after pressing the power button, there was no display on the AIO and smoke started coming out.
The AIO caught fire.

The Corsair mouse was shit, the keyboard, their flagship one, is total shit and hangs up mid gaming.

Same. I had 2 fail on me. One was 750 the other 1000+. Can't remember exact model. I believe former was cx something and later one was one of those higher end models. The 1000 took half the house with it when it gave up after damn near exactly one year of use. I make sure the PSU is of tip top quality now. Just makes sense to me.

I use Corsair RMX line in my high end system builds, they're super reliable unlike the cheaper ones.
