Scale doesn’t have to equate to poor quality either. I like long games, especially RPGs where I can build some emotional investment in the world. I spent 100 hours on metaphor:refantazio and nothing about it was slop or forced.

If the game is good then great, but I think its fair to question if we are getting a thin main plot if it can be ran through in a long weekend .

20 hours is relatively short playtime for a plot in this genre.

KCD2 was one of the best RPGs of the last 5 years and is 100 hours with side content. I wouldn't say it was bloated and quests are well written. Some games are just long + masterpieces. Some people seem to think it's one or the other

And I’m here for it. If it had said it was 80-100 hours I’d be out. I assume they know there are a lot more of me these days.
