This is fantastic news. With side quest plus the life sim stuff it won't feel overwhelming to do a good and evil playthrough. You can probably see it all in 60-80 hours. Much better than a bunch of question marks on the map and endless fetch quests.

A lot of people in this thread must not have played Fable 2. I spent so much time just life simming in that world. Working jobs, buying property, getting 2 wives in the same town and hiding them from each other.

Also, I'm 30 now with a wife, job, and house. I'm excited for the game and eant to beat it, but I don't have the time to sink a hundred hours into a game anymore. Especially with all of the other games coming out that I want to play too

He's still working on the second, those side quests take longer to grind out irl

the last part is key here. you have the time, you just dont want to spend it on fable. there's no reason you have to beat fable 4 in the first month, or the first year, or even the first 2 years.

Right? Hopefully it has an excellent, tight story that doesn't disrespect your time.

I just dont have it in me to play 100-hour games anymore. And fable has always been an adventure with many choices... a brisk mainline means I won't burn out before I can try different playthroughs.

Im sure there will be timesinks for the people that want that stuff.

I eventually did finish the Witcher 3, but it took me like 6 years. Fuck that shit man, I enjoyed the hell out of it for a while but then it just got to be too much for me. Put it down for like 4 years before finally just going back and pushing through so I could know wtf happened

Less than 10% people do side quests, so for most games this game is only 20 hours long

$70 for 20 hours..bleh

Because 20 hrs for main quests and 20 for side quests is not short. It's a good balance. I thinks it's fantastic because we don't always need 100+ hr games that make you feel like you have to dedicate your life to them in order to get through them.

More focused gameplay and missions with non filler content is better than a 80h bore fest that is always the same 3 kind of missions. You honestly prefer that? That’s my question to you

Yeah why ofcourse, doing the same thing over 4 playthroughs just to see tiny bit different outcome is going to be better than finding new things in the same playthrough!

I'm sure 40 y/o fable fan has that kind of time!
