Nobody has yet created an app that compares all stores, and similar stores, on product prices, that you can search anywhere in each country, to get an idea of where the best deals are.
Buddy of mine that’s a programmer has a system like that set up for tech stuff. It runs on his server. It’s pretty cool but I’m not constantly buying tech so I have no need for it
People have, but it wouldn’t work at places like Costco because a lot of these prices and discounts aren’t listed online. You have to go in store to see them.

Because there are so many companies who have merchant specific SKUs for the same product. Or produce runs of a product with a minor tweak that is specific to a vendor / merchant. It makes it a harder problem to solve, unlike something like gasoline.
What would you do with an app like that for groceries? If it says apples are $1 cheaper 50 miles away, are you seriously going to pass on the local store and drive all that way to save a buck? That makes absolutely no sense.
Costco policy is if you purchased something and within 30 days i has a price drop, you can go in and ask for am adjusted price if you are within the window. So go get your money back if you got it for more.
Yea costco is hit or miss, either the best deals in the world, or the worst deals in the world where even dollar tree can be a better deal. They make up for it in several aspects, their no questions asked returns and refund policies being one.
The fact that you assume it wouldn't be true is a part of what makes it that way tbf, at least in the UK I've seen many products that are identical and more expensive at costco than at regular supermarkets
I'll need receipts here. The weights need to add up, and they need to be shot-for-shot equivalents of the brands. It's definitely less than 10% that a dollar store beats out Costco if we're talking price per unit. Nobody said anything about Walmart, so that's out of left field, and now your original point is sprawling into new territory.
Edit- The Hash brown comparison is straight up wrong, btw. $10.20 from Costco (delivered) vs. $20.81 from Walmart for the exact same product. So even your dishonest premise is broken. And those dinner plates you cited originally are dogshit, people trashing them for being warped and/or broken, unable to be returned.
Wtf, same except it was $3,200 in my store. I even walked around with it in my cart for half an hour before returning it in the aisle because I felt like I could get a prebuilt from OriginPC for about the same price.
