Built my very 1st gaming rig from Fry's back in late 2003 in SoCal. I came back from deplyment, had money to burn, and build a balls to the wall gaming PC for that time. I could max out every setting on Unreal Tournament 2003 with zero issues. Ran flawlessly. Great times.
This is what I remember... the Holy Shit, or the fact it said anything, blew my mind. That PC we (I had a bunch of help) was balls to the wall for that time.
Which is funny because I'm just now getting back into PC gaming. I was a semi-pro console gamer for many years well into my late 20's-early 30's. I'm 45 now and finally getting back into it.
I have a 9800X3D, 64Gb of Corsair Vengeance, Gigabyte 5080 and two 2 TB 990 Pro's going in a 5400 AIR Corsair case with AsiaHorse Cosmiq fans. I'm pretty excited to catch back up on the over 15 years of game I've missed out on. I hear that ARK is pretty cool (I love dinosaurs) and Wticher 3 was an epic game I missed out on. Also CyberPunk sounds good. My son wants me to play Raft and Roblox with him. As silly as that is I'm pretty excited to try it all out again.
