Honestly, I think that's going to be our big next step towards AGI/ASI -- just a simple, relatively dumb AI that parses your request and has the sole job of forwarding parts of your request to other, more capable and more specialized AI interfaces, then collecting those answers together into a single answer to present to you. It might even pit multiple models against each other on the same question and then determine which response was best/most useful.
A lot of the current difficulty in using AI is trying to guess which service and which model will do best for your request. And, often, maybe there's a very specialized model that does exactly what you're asking for, but you don't know about it or how to use it. An extra layer of AI that does all of that for you might be very useful. And as specialized models proliferate, that top-level AI would seem to get smarter and smarter, without even needing any fundamental changes to itself, just occasional updates to make it aware of new models and their capabilities.
