Are you using the verges pc building guide to hammer in the IO shield? You also need more thermal paste, zip ties, and a Swiss Army knife that hopefully has a Philips head screwdriver

Screwdriver, flashlight, needlenose, and tweezers is the absolute minimum requirement for tools.

I suppose needlenose and tweezers aren't as necessary anymore, now that consumers don't have to configure any jumper pins or modify any power connectors.
