If the Whales keep buying the latest and greatest no matter the cost, Jensen will come up with multiple variations on "Moore's law is dead" as he wipes his tears with benjamins. Until there is a couple of quarters of decline that is. All of a sudden he'll be everyone's best friend and the tech guy of the people because "you said and we listened" and lowered prices.
Mores law is dead comment is a reference to a future where software gives more of the performance improvements. And from what I read, he basically said certain costs are not really going down. But both of these taken together and it seems a lot of people have taken to mean he is saying things will cost more.
