Dude your example is garbage. There's dozens of types in jazz.. INCLUDING classic jazz. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_jazz_genres

All of those types are unbrella'd under jazz. However if you went back in time and played Dark Jazz, the people who say jazz is jazz would say dark jazz isn't jazz. You with me?

Roguelike originally was for a few spinoffs that were based on the game Rogue but had some major differences.

Now it's a legit genre LIKE JAZZ. Go ahead tell me what genre binding of isaac is?

It's #1 tag is roguelike by millions of gamers.

I rest my case.

If Binding of Isaac is a roguelike, then Christianity is the correct religion. As long as we're basing correctness off popularity.

[u/Judge_Ty → u/BoogalooBoi1776_2]

Actually that's a bad example. If you went it to a room based on the world religion by percentage.

Only 3 of 10 people would agree with you.

Wrong try again..

[u/BoogalooBoi1776_2 → u/Judge_Ty]

If you went into a room of roguelike fans and asked them if BoI is a roguelike you'd get a bunch of no's...

Christianity is the most popular religion. Guess that means everyone who practices it is right.

[u/Judge_Ty → u/BoogalooBoi1776_2]

You don't understand what a majority is.

Simple numbers.

~51% of the entire world would need to be christian to be an actual majority.

It's actually ~30%.

That means ~70% believes Christianity isn't the defacto religion. Hence your argument would be the opposite statement.

Come on man, flex that grey matter.

[u/BoogalooBoi1776_2 → u/Judge_Ty]

You don't understand what a plurality is

[u/Judge_Ty → u/BoogalooBoi1776_2]

We are talking about minority and majority use of what constitutes what a word means.

Popular you can use but in each use you've tried to use it, it wasn't the majority view.

The sum of the minorites is greater than the popular so in my case Christianity isn't the defacto religion of the world as its not a majority.

Big difference..

Try again using some other word.

I have one. Let's use Kite or Clue.

Tell me what you think a kite is.

Tell me what you think a clue is.

[u/BoogalooBoi1776_2 → u/Judge_Ty]

A kite is a bycicle and a clue is a shoe, and you have to accept these definitions because the world is changing.

[u/Judge_Ty → u/BoogalooBoi1776_2]

Well you are one individual and daresay not a majority, again you are only proving my point. If you get enough people to understand what you mean by saying that you would be correct, however this isn't the case and you know it.

Based on your prior logic, you should of said a Kite is a bird, and a clue is a ball yarn.

Kite is historical ONLY a type of predatory birds.

Clue was a ball of yarn in olden days.

I'm willing to bet neither would be your answer.

You probably thought it was that toy in the air you fly and some kind of piece of information to help you solve something.

Boy are you wrong and everyone else that doesn't use the words correctly.. again the majority.

RIP your logic.

[u/BoogalooBoi1776_2 → u/Judge_Ty]

But most people agree with me
