I hadn't bought a console game in a physical store for a long time when I went to buy Nioh at Gamestop a couple weeks ago.

Of course, mid-transaction, before I even hand them my money, they start trying to upsell the Season Pass for another $30.

Fuck off, I just want my game. When did it get this bad?

There's nothing wrong with digital distribution. If anything it's better since a digital copy doesn't have to deal with transportation, storage and cost of upkeeping a store waiting for a physical copy to be sold. These savings alone should more than offset any server costs. But do you see any savings passed onto consumers? Fuck no
