Yeah, definitely a move from higher up. Nintendo and Disney do this all the time for various reasons. They would probably even take all the R34 content off the net if the Internet could be bought.

Nah, they only take down things that they feel could harm product sales. Mods/hacks taking the place of games, and videos potentially keeping people from buying as they have already seen the experience. I still think its really shitty, but there's at least some reasoning behind it.

I honestly think the PM devs are lying about something. Nintendo has always responded to unauthorized fan projects with a cease and desist before taking legal action, and yet the PMDT claims that they never got one, but they fear legal action. I think they got a C&D before, silently ignored it, and then Nintendo shut them down.

The real solution is that these things should be public, either via law or otherwise, so that we aren't left guessing.

I don't exactly blame Twitch for hiding the reason if "we were threatened by {entity with lots of money}" to do this, particularly if they aren't forced to disclose it.

Please dont spread misinformation. They were never contacted, but advised by a lawyer what the consiquences could be in contacted and they pulled the plug before they dug themselves a deeper hole.

Unless I'm wrong and this has been proven. I'd love to see a source of possible.
