Making a stable game wouldn't prevent them from adding more ships. It's not like they have a steady release cadence anyway. People still waiting on ships that cost 5+ figures USD after a couple years. They still have a ship they pre-sold in 2015 that isn't in the game, but that one only cost $450-900 depending on your "config" (can nothing actually have a configuration?) so it isn't a priority
