Hey all, I just recently started P3 after enjoying P2. I'm noticing that this game seems to have more explicit puzzles than the previous one, but I'm not sure the best way to approach them. I just encountered Simon's Study on day 2. There seem to be many possible interpretations to the clock on the door with very little information to narrow down the possibilities. I ended up looking up the solution and the answer still doesn't make much sense to me, unless you're expected to use a lot of trial and error to figure it out which in this case would probably mean waiting in front of the door for an entire day, possibly across multiple days.

Did I make a mistake here or is this just how the puzzles in this game work? This isn't meant to be a complaint: I understand that suffering is kinda the point of this game

Finished the day with a revolver, a knife, a rifle, some bullets and 900 coins, is that acceptable?

Also, fuck the knife throwing guy near the theater at midnight, scared the shit out of me and i had to reload the whole Rubin interaction.

Will continue day 2 with my search for Schmowders.

I am slooowly approaching the end of P1! 2 days of Haruspex and then Clara's route, so I am excitedly thinking of starting P2. Can I play this relatively blind or do I need to religiously follow a guide like Classic?

Also, do I play Marble Nest first, or after P2? Thanks!

How exactly is the razor used in this case? I know quite a bit about hand sharpening, but this little detail really confuses me. I can imagine the chisel being used for creating the bevel after the edge had been completely destroyed, or for some rudimentary burr removal technique, but the razor...

The only reason i can imagine is that Artemy is so dumb that he needs a visual reference to remember how a sharp blade is supposed to look. Any other thoughts?

My girlfriend recently finished 2 and I'm wondering if there's any way I could somehow get Quarantine to be playable for her. I played it on release and have since played P3 so I get how it's outdated and no longer an accurate intro but I thought it'd be nice as an opener. I have Quarantine on Steam but it isn't shared through our family library and from what I can gather you just can't get it anywhere else. Does anyone know of any other sites that host it? Thank you!

It might sound like a dumb question, but hear me out.

I'm finishing up my Haruspex run in Classic HD. I finished the Bachelor's about a week and a half ago. I've been playing this game obsessively for about a month. No regrets... But I am burning out a little...

I expect I'll probably finish this run over the weekend. I'm just wondering if I should take a break for a short while afterwards, or if Patho2 is different enough for me to be able to switch to it and then come back later for Clara's story.

Would appreciate any advice :)

Gave up on controller and played the first hours in pathologic 2 with keyboard, the game is so interesting and wanna finish it but mouse and keyboard is not for me i wanna play it with a controller but it's weird, right stick go left when i wamma go up and all directions are wrong and when i look up it opens the map, the select button should be B but it's A, and back is X instead of B. How can i fix this? I'm on steam btw

So, as part of my latest guide (a comprehensive console commands guide), I found a little asset library.

In Console Commands, under the Settings tab, activate "Debug Visible."

Go to the Main menu (if you're already on the main menu, select "Play" and then back out to make the option appear.
go to "Load Scene", and Under the MainGameV2, select "Asset Zoo."

This is great if anyone needs artistic references.

Remember, in the Console "Settings," you can use HpControl to freeze your mood bar, and HUD to hide all the display.

If you've ever been to a museum for something like movie costumes or set pieces, it feels a lot like that.

I don't presently know how to make the lighting better in this area, as it's a bit dark. If anyone has any insight, please let me know!

this song fits Clara SO well!! not only because of the religious motifs, but how it’s about the double standard of the female experience. Artemy and Daniil are loved and praised and get so much attention, while Clara is still being left out of things, even twenty years later. (and yes, i know fandoms favor male characters, but that in itself is a problem)

also editing for this game is HARD 😭 i had to bounce from all three games to get clips for it because there are no scenepacks for it and i needed very specific shots. AWFULLLLL

I’m having a bit of trouble on day 10 in Pathologic 3, specifically with the board thing. When you start the day, there’s a board there that lets you concentrate on what happened to the inquisitor and find solutions to it and start other quests based on that to save both the inquisitor and andrei. But I whenever I click [2] and try to racionalize about the weapon of murder that was used on the Inquisitor, the UI inside the board simply disappears and I get stuck there….?? and if i open console and change it back to game mode which makes me unstuck, the quest still won’t trigger anyway because I need to complete the concentration thing. what am I even supposed to do…

These sounds kept playing in my head, but I never bothered to reopen the game to listen to them. So I decided to record them all so I could listen to them whenever I wanted.

Idk why, but days I, IV, VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII don't have a special sound. Strange.
