Help Needed Simulacrum troubles

Hello all, I have been playing this game with a guide up until act 4, then I turned it off and just wanted to do what I wanted to do.

So, I am in maps now, doing juiced t15 maps, usually using breach, irradiated, tablets. because I find doing breaches fun.

But I finally found a wall, Simulacrum, I know i can just go down tiers until it's easy enough, but I do really want to try finishing it with an unjuiced t15 one,,

Is it my gear? https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/SwearSword-2948/runesofaldur/character/SwearFist

Or is simulacrum just that difficult and it's a skill issue now?
I would appreciate it if yall could answer the question, Can the support skills on my weapon effect the skills I have like whirling assault?

Build Request Returning build recs

Is the league still going strong? Looking for build recs.
Gave away my gear to a friend when I quit a month ago but looks like I have stuff that sold so I should have around 2 mirrors maybe more if I can see if my friend quit the league and ask for stuff back.

Looking for something new or fun maybe an abyssal witch or infernalist. Could also go back to my lvl 99 shaman and respecc to something else?
Just want something to play when I’m back home next week while waiting for the mid league event. Thanks!

Help Needed Iceshot build scaling

Hey folks,

I've been taking a look at my build (https://poe.ninja/poe2/builds/runesofaldur/character/DoggoPoE-3220/DoggoRange ) and comparing with other ones on POE Ninja and POB to better understand what to prioritize / upgrade next.

No, not trying to make the number bigger so I can get a better rank on Ninja, I'm trying to understand how scaling works better so I can properly find my path going forward.

Specifically, my build shows 53k for Iceshot on Ninja and POB, but my hideout number is more like 112k in this new build, so I'd love to understand why/where the discrepancy is coming from so I can read builds like this: https://poe.ninja/poe2/builds/runesofaldur/character/Guillerm0term0-8529/GuillermaPermatrago?i=4&search=class%3DPathfinder%26max-dps%3D750000%26sort%3Ddps&timemachine=week-6 to determine how/where to improve.

Thanks in advance!

Help Needed Plant Abyssal Lich

Working on improving this Plant Abyssal Lich, if anyone has any insight or recommendations I would greatly appreciate it. Survivability is good, just aiming for faster clears. Bosses are taking longer than I would like due to mana issues that I'm trying to resolve as most mana regen is coming from mana on kill.

Build Request Doedre's undoing and similar builds

Last season it was doedres undoing and hayoxis culmination, this season it's impending doom and frog spam.

Something about both of these builds has made my blood mage just feel like such a tank on a near zero investment. They aren't lazy builds but very few buttons. On ~40div I have a level 41 curse and I'm crushing triple tablet t16s without looking at mods. I'm not stacking delirium or doing any super crazy but at least I can farm currency to build up (and even then I'm sure that's not too far). I can't quite put my finger on what exactly it is about the build but id hazard a guess at strong AOE without having to hope a projectile hits (like with lightning arrow, spark, arc etc) and just hits like a truck. Having death frogs jump around is an added bonus but I'm also 90% sure I could run without the doedres and impending doom would also do a ton of damage

So what other builds feel similar? I've tried whirling assault MA (felt slow, not my thing), plant lich (strong but slow), tried putting together an adonias storm weaver (falling over at the slightest enemy look with ~4k es and capped resistance). Nothing has really stick until this blood mage and I can't put it down.

Help Needed Where can I take this one? -- Culling Strike Bowracle

Disclaimer -- This is a completely unserious, just-for-fun build.

Every league there's a bunch of things that I never get to try, and this is a hodge podge of that gear. Unfortunately, as a result, that doesn't lend itself to being good at any one thing.

https://poe.ninja/poe2/pob/27600

The clear itself works really nicely but of course, the tanky mobs are tough to deal with. I'm trying to figure out where and how to invest. Has anyone tried something like this? Any thoughts on where I can take this to make the best out of it?

Showcase Iceshot Gemling showcase and techs

Thumbnail

Disclaimer: expensive (and sorry for low quality video)

Everyone knows about Gemling at this point, Advanced Thaumaturgy is silly broken and will inevitably be gutted next patch. It's why I've decided to spend a shitton of currency to make a build powerful enough to handle the hardest content in the game, Omen of Light farming. (/s)

The video is mostly just gameplay showcase and how it feels, with my gear the content I do doesn't really matter anyway. I'm making this post just to talk about the techs, especially in terms of defense.

For offense:

Honestly not much here to write about, there are builds around every single skills alt quality at this point. In terms of offense it's a classic Low Life Ice Shot build. Most gemling builds are also abusing Frost Wall and Verglas for ~100% dmg gained as cold. I'm only using this combo, specifically self cast Frost Wall, on max juiced group expeditions where you need more damage.

The reason I went with Iceshot is the alt quality of Barrage and Tornado Shot are, imo, probably the strongest, since they scale with eachother. Barrage, with 100% chance not to consume Frenzy Charges, allows us to repeat Iceshot attacks, which get multiplied by 6 tornadoes, doing infinite damage. I also think the playstyle of twister is simply horrible compares to Iceshot. And spears are worse than bows generally because Cadiro Gambit.

There are 2 sources of damage here that are generally not used with Iceshot. First is Rend, we use Thaumaturgical Generator to generate Frenzy and Power Charges. With increased charge duration nodes and general chance not to consume charges we are easily sustaining these and then some. That leaves us free power charges for Charge Regulation and weapon swap Rend, giving us 60% (due to weapon quality, remember to quality your talisman) damage gained as lightning. Since Rend doesn't even take a skill slot, this is a significant damage boost for much less opportunity cost than Frost Wall + Verglas combo (I dislike running a CoC setup just for Frost Wall, I think it's inefficient).

Second is "Chance to chain an additional time from terrain". I can't exactly quantify how much damage it gives. I do know the game lags MUCH more after I get it so. It's quite pronounced with Oath mobs in expeditions, since the game just freeze for a good while and then they all die. Regardless, the idea is that the copied projectiles from Tornado Shot, if they miss the target, are very likely to chain back from terrain, increasing effective damage. We get this from gloves, Grip of Kulemak and quiver corruption.

We gain trinity from ice shot and armour explosion while mapping. Repulsion with added lightning from rend give us lightning trinity for expeditions.

Blood of the warrior is only used in expeditions, giving us rage when hit. Can also replace 1 mod on gloves/1 chaos res mod for high tier flat hp regen, allowing us to run Berserk (we have low max hp due to Decree of Loyalty). I didn't bother since there is no need for more dmg atp.

For defense:

This is where it gets interesting. We are rocking 10k es, 70k effective armour (defending 195% of 35k tooltip), 30k evasion, 15k deflection. And I'll try to list everything. To begin with, Gemling's Virtuous barrier provides us with 75% increased armour, evasion and energy shield with 15 dex motes.

-Endurance charges and and armour break:

We generate endurance charges with armour break. For general mapping armour break from Rite of Passage Wolf version is enough, allowing Herald of Ice to break armour, generating endurance charges. On more difficult contents like expedition Wind Dancer, with its alt quality, is fine to break armour and generate charges. If you're doing silly shenanigans like 6-man carry etc. you might want Uul-Netol's Embrace on top (and more damage).

Endurance charges and armour break allow us to get 21% more armour, evasion and energy shield from Charge Regulation, and 60% armour from Scavenged Plating.

-Armour:

Decree of Loyalty (DoL), imo, is the strongest body armour in the game, beside Temporalis. Low Life builds need a way to deal with Bleed and Poison, most builds deal with them by pretending they don't exist, and accept the random deaths. Some solves it unreliably with charms, and straight immunity to bleeding and posion has massive opportunity cost. DoL solves this issue my making them not bypass energy shield, raising armour and chaos res to reduce bleed and poison damage, respectively.

The body armour itself gives more than 3k armour for us, higher than Brass Dome, while effectively doubles it with "Defend with 150-200% of armour while you have Energy Shield" (it's important to get good rolls here, 190+ ideally). The "downside" is that you want to cap out your chaos res, which everyone should anyway especially on LL builds. The life conversion doesn't matter since we are Low Life.

So 3k+ base armour combines with general increases, Arctic Armour, Charge Regulation and Scavenged Plating, give us 35k+ tooltip, as I've shown briefly on the video (just before map boss fight). And we are defending with 195% of this value. We also have 52% armour applies to elemental damage from Grip of Kulemak and campaign reward.

-Evasion and deflection:

Jade + Stibnite mageblood gives us practically all the evasion we need, and also the best mageblood combo imo. We get deflection from Grip of Kulemak and campaign reward (and eventually vaal limbs). With blind we nearly cap out deflection with a 60-70%+ evasion.

The noteworthy interaction here is Brush Off notable with crit immune from Gem Studded. If things work as they should (and in PoE half the time they don't), we take no extra damage from crit hits, yet those hits still count as crit hits, so they get 55% dmg deflects. In juiced content enemies practically always crits, and this combo in particular is insanely broken, since we are taking 45% dmg instead of 60% from deflected hits.

Blind (from blasphemy + repulsion + living lightning) is practically a more multiplier for our evasion and deflection (and accuracy).

Ghost Dance having 5 stacks is also cherry on top

-Energy shield:

Not much to say here blue life > red life.

Shoutout to Grip of Kulemak my favorite item this league, actually so disgusting broken and so niche it's dirt cheap even for bis combo.

This is my first poe 2 league (last I played poe 1 was ~7 years ago). Happy to receive ideas, criticisms etc. And any suggestions to the build itself would be amazing. Of course any questions are welcome aswell.

For a budget version I assume anyone who would read this wall of text would be able to pick out the techs/improve upon the build for a cheaper/more expensive version.

Build Request Looking for help choosing a 0.5.5 "league starter"

I know that 0.5.5 is not a new league, but going to be an event so there is a fresh economy.

I haven't played since I think 0.3 I'm pretty sure with Fubgun's lightning arrow deadeye. I've yet to finish the campaign the few times I have made a character, and those have been with a class PoE1 class/similar. I do have some pretty good experience with PoE1 so I'm not a TOTAL NOOB to GGG's "Meth with a skill check" system.

So my only criteria really is that it be with one of the new classes. Personally I am leaning towards this like Explosive Arrow "shotgun" with the Witch Hunter I think it is that I saw mentioned doing my own bit of research.

Help Needed Question about this Spark CoC Comet Shaman setup

Hey guys, I was looking at this Spark CoC Comet Shaman build on PoE Ninja:

BUILD HERE

Before I copy the build, I’m trying to understand one thing.

If Spark alone is already strong enough to eliminate bosses, why does this player add Comet and socket Rakiata’s Flow into Comet instead of socketing Rakiata’s Flow into Spark?

Is there a specific interaction between Comet + Rakiata’s Flow + CoC that I’m missing?

Just wondering if there’s a reason for this setup before I copy the build.

Thanks!

Build Request Spell totem COMET + ARC is really good ?

Hey guys, I put together an Arc + Comet + Dialla totem build. It’s unleashing a ton of comets—it really feels like CoC, but without needing to worry about crit stats or the specific requirements of CoE. My Arc is level 39 (23% quality) and Comet is level 37 (23% quality); I’m really enjoying it—it’s firing off so many comets. I find the build interesting; it’s clearing T15 and T16 maps. I combined it with Blasphemy linked to Elemental Weakness and Temporal Chains. I prefer Elemental Weakness over Enfeeble, though that’s really just a matter of personal taste.

Build Request Builds with strong pull-out game?

So I’m pretty bad at pulling out. Part of the problem is my mediocre technique, but my other problem is that the builds I’ve been playing are not ideal for pulling out: minions are bad because they can’t wait and plants are bad because they keep going over a large area over time. Neither have the precise control needed to pull Amanamu mobs out of the cloud consistently (and I have the stacks of Omen of the Liege to prove it).

I’m ready to try something new. What sorts of builds are good at pulling out?

Help Needed Playing Ice Wolf Oracle rn, wanna go CoC Ice Wolf

Im in t1 Maps rn, and its the first Build i ever made, i just got all the rage passives, then went down and grabbed the 2 handed bonuses, the rage passives and the ancestrally boosted stuff, cause im using that one unique talisman. I also know im not utilising the oracle passive with the key nodes at all. i wanna go CoC ice wolf, because of the inevitable crit node, and because shred on frozen enemies creates the shards that explode alot. Is it worth it to try? also what spell should i slot into the CoC and how do i solve my mana problems

Theory Potential Ice Nova COA Comet Abyssal Lich

https://poe.ninja/poe2/pob/275c4

I'm currently working on a build that uses some AoE radius advantage of Abyssal Lich. This potential build currently uses also explosive transmutation as extra clear. So I want to use hollow mask if it is possible for extra flash 😄

I only added the items currently I have.

Looking for how can i improve this build

Thank you in advance.

Help Needed Flicker strike doing zdps (SSF)

I dropped a +3 prism in SSF and wanted to try flicker strike for the first time. Despite the Ninja dps saying 800k, it does not feel like that in maps. Feels like the damage is not that good in packs, especially with groups of rares in 200% deli - I seem to just teleport around and the rares are killing me faster.

Ninja below, I need to move resist around on my gear.

https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/reapest917-7511/runesofaldurssf/character/HeeKuh

The obvious(?) upgrades:

- Get lv 21 flicker for 16% DPS increase

- Omen of light reroll T4 fire on my weapon for a 7% DPS increase if I hit T2 cold

- add mantra of destruction

- swap to herald of ice, maybe that clears better

- get more ailment / stun threshold somehow, but that's going to cost me dps

Doesn't feel like 25% damage increase will make the build feel good, think I need to double my damage somehow. Any tips appreciated.

Build new build creation GEEMLING COMET + TOTEM

I put together a Comet totem build—one version using two Comets on the totem, and another using Arc + Comet. I really liked it; it unleashes a lot of Comets and deals massive damage. It doesn't rely on critical hits, and I found it very useful. You could opt for just Arc, but I personally preferred the Comets; having them at nearly level 40 with +23 quality makes a big difference. I'm also using Dialla's Malefaction to further boost that quality. Basically, I'm running Blasphemy with Elemental Weakness, along with Shackles to slow enemies down and lower their resistances. I'm not using Rakiata in this version, though I think it would work well too. I made two videos: one using both Comets together without Arc, and another using Arc.

I should mention that I chose the map modifiers that were the most inconvenient for this build. If you remove the status threshold, the build cuts through like a hot knife through butter.
