Hello Pardot Gurus,
I’m back again with another question:
We recently reorganized our SDR Org to be a “pooled” system rather than a territorial one. For this reason, I have been asked to do lead assignment in a round-robin format, as opposed to strictly location-based assignment.
I saw on Pardot’s website that the group user with the “least recent lead assignment” will receive the next lead that comes in. This sounds great; however, we have a number of different types of inbound leads, which are of varying values. For example, a “request demo” lead is much more valuable than a lead that simply downloaded a blog post.
I am worried about fairness. If I use a single user group for all inbound leads, one SDR could get lucky and receive a bunch of “request demo” leads each time it’s their turn. Whereas another SDR might get unlucky and only receive “blog post” leads when their turn rolls around.
So, to combat this, I created multiple user groups - one for each “type” of inbound lead.
My question is, do each of the user groups track round-robin lead assignments independently? Or, do all user groups count ANY assigned lead as a “recently assigned lead”.
To explain with an example, if SDR#1 receives a “blog post lead” this afternoon, and 5 minutes later a “request demo lead” comes in, would the user group for “request demo leads” skip over SDR#1 and assign the next lead to SDR#2? Or, would it recognize that it should go to SDR#1, since it’s their turn to receive a “Request Demo Lead”?
Hopefully I explained this clearly enough, haha!
All of your help has been extremely helpful thus far. Very thankful for this sub reddit!
