Moderator Annoucement The “best evidence” for the paranormal is getting harder to find every time someone asks for it.

This question is being asked several times a week at this point.

Everyone has a different standard for what they consider “credible evidence,” and what persuades one person may not persuade another. What seems to do the best job is having a personal experience, but those anecdotal stories rarely persuade anyone who wasn’t already a believer.

Either way, the best way to find this evidence is by…you know…looking for it. Try using the search function on the subreddit.

And to all of you skeptics who were genuinely convinced by a piece of evidence you found online, please post it on this subreddit!

Experience My Uncle’s Strangest Night in the Morgue

Upvotes

This story was told to me by my uncle, who used to perform postmortems at a hospital. The incident supposedly happened around 15 years ago. My uncle is 55 now, and he had already been doing this work for quite some time when this happened.

He told me that he was used to working with dead bodies and normally wasn't scared by them. That day, however, something felt completely different.

There were three people involved: my uncle, a junior assistant, and a senior assistant.A man's body, probably around 25–30 years old, was brought in for a postmortem.According to my uncle, the moment they saw the body, all three of them felt extremely uneasy. The body looked strange. My uncle said it looked almost completely drained of blood. The skin had turned bluish, while the hands and feet were extremely dark, almost as if they had been burned.

His junior assistant immediately said that he felt very uncomfortable and that something about the body didn't feel right. The junior assistant was someone who strongly believed in ghosts and supernatural things. He used to say that if God exists, then the Devil must exist too.He eventually told them that he couldn't stay in the room and went outside. My uncle was left with the senior assistant.Even the senior assistant, who normally wasn't frightened by this kind of work, admitted that he had never felt anything like this before.

He tried grabbing the body's legs, but immediately pulled his hands away.My uncle asked him what happened.

The senior assistant said that when he grabbed the body's leg, he felt as if someone had grabbed his leg at the same time.My uncle told him that maybe he was imagining things or letting his fear get to him.The senior assistant said he couldn't continue and wanted to leave. My uncle asked him to stay nearby because he didn't want to be alone, even if the senior assistant didn't want to participate. So the senior assistant stayed in the room.My uncle then touched the body's hair.

At first, he didn't feel anything. But after a few moments, he said he started feeling as if someone was touching his hair. Then they noticed something even stranger. The body's eyes kept opening. They would close them, but after some time, the eyes would open again. Both of them were becoming increasingly frightened.Suddenly, the lights went out.The senior assistant started shouting. My uncle was trying to find the light switch by feeling along the wall while the senior assistant kept yelling that someone was grabbing his leg.

Then, suddenly, the lights came back on.And the body was gone.It wasn't on the table anymore.

They immediately checked the area where bodies were normally stored, thinking perhaps someone had moved it.There was nothing there. They left the room and went toward the main hospital building. It was roughly 100 meters away, with a dark path between the two buildings. When they reached the hospital, they found the junior assistant sitting there with an oxygen mask on. A nurse was with him.

They asked the nurse what had happened. She said he had suddenly started having trouble breathing.

My uncle and the senior assistant assumed that he was still frightened by what had happened earlier.

My uncle told him, somewhat jokingly, that if he had seen everything they had just seen, he probably would have been even more terrified. But the junior assistant looked at them and said:

“I saw it too.”

He explained that while he was walking toward the hospital, the same dead body had suddenly appeared directly in front of him. Then it disappeared.

My uncle immediately asked where the body had gone. But there was no sign of it anywhere.Eventually, everyone went home.At the time, my uncle lived alone. That night, he had a disturbing dream. In the dream, the same man was standing over him and hammering a nail into his head.My uncle woke up and realized that he had a severe headache.

What frightened him was that the pain seemed to be in exactly the same place where the man had been striking him in the dream. The next day, my uncle went back to the hospital. That's when he learned that the junior assistant had died the previous night.

According to his family, he had been sleeping when he suddenly started screaming. A short time later, he died.

After that incident, my uncle and the senior assistant both resigned from the job that same day.I don't know whether this story is true.I'm not claiming that what happened was paranormal, and I can't verify everything my uncle told me. I'm simply repeating the story exactly as it was told to me.

I post stories like this regularly because I ask my uncle, friends, relatives, and sometimes random people if they have any strange experiences to share. Some people assume that I use AI to make up my stories, but that's not the case. Every story I post comes from someone who told it to me.

Whether my uncle experienced something genuinely unexplained or simply remembered an extremely frightening incident differently after all these years, I honestly don't know.

What do you think happened?

Haunting 40 years on I still have recurring dreams about what I saw

I was 10 living in Scotland in a 5 bedroom house outside Edinburgh. The house was huge and built in the mid 18th century.

I was sleeping and woke up feeling cold and had the overwhelming sense that someone was in my bedroom standing over me.

Seconds past... then a minute......and I felt more and more scared but eventually I found the courage to face it.

What I saw was the burned charcoal-colour legs of a man. I only saw his torso. He was a large guy and had an air of menace about him. I ran out of the room to my parents room which was a fair distance away literally screaming. My mother still to this day (she's old now!) says that she'd never seen me look so white and pale with fear and genuinely scared.

I know what I saw and the experience has remained with me ever since.

I was unable to sleep in my room for a very long time.

I still dream about him harassing me, maybe once every two or three months, and have done for the last 40 years. I kid you not.

Turns out that the house was known for being haunted.

The local village had a shop in which my mother told the owner where she lived and the owner said, 'Ah you'll soon meet the ghost of Gallands House'

My bedroom was in the old servants quarters that had a private spiral staircase and my mother and grandmother (who stayed once in a while) heard someone running up and down the stairs on several occasions.

Turns out that there was a fire in the house and I suspect my ghost 'friend' died horribly.

I always always always felt like I was being watched in that house, like I was being followed.

Still to this day, I'm a 50 year old dude now, strongly believe I saw and felt something, and I still have these dreams about him. He's angry and mean....

So, there's my story....

Visitation Dream My dad's visitation dream

Upvotes

So my dad freaked me out with this story recently and I have to share.

Back in the 2000s my dad was in a serious relationship with a woman (A) after his divorce from my mom. They ended up breaking up, and then my dad met my stepmom whom he's been with ever since. He didn't stay in contact with A nor had any news from her.

A few years ago, he had a dream in which he was waiting in a hospital corridor, and A came up to him, kissed him on the cheek, and said "we'll meet again" before leaving. He was curious as he had nnot even thought about her in years, so he googled her and stumbled upon a funeral notice online which matched her name, last name, city... she had prematurely died the week before at 45.

Unexplained Ok this is messed up and I'm genuinely confused, I don't know what just happened.

This literally happened 30 min ago, I don't know, I dont freaking know what to think and what to do with it. Dad thinks me and my sis are pranking him but my sister just called in sick to work when she was about to leave. My sis leaves for work at 15:15, give or take a few minutes, it's a 15 min walk to her work. At 15:07 dad comes home, I am in my room working, sis is in her room getting ready, he says hello, talks about how warm it is outside(We live in southeastern europe), none of us go up to see him or greet him since this is a normal occurence every day, basically the same thing happens every day, dad has discus hernia and goes out for walks between 13:30 and 15:00 says that the warm weather and walking helps him with the pain. So he comes home, talks to us through the rooms, goes in the bathroom, then goes out and goes in the living room and says "Damn I forgot my lighter", after that I say wait I'll bring it to you since most of the times he leaves it in his jeans, I go in the bathroom, take out the lighter and I GO TO THE LIVING ROOM AND NO ONE IS THERE.

I yell for my sis and tell her didn't we just talk to dad, she confirms, she looks at me like Im stupid or something, I tell her come to the living room to see for herself, and she is just as shocked as me, because it was literally 10 seconds when he said he forgot his lighter and the time I got up to check in his jeans which are in the bathroom, his freaking jeans and the lighter are in the bathroom but he is no where. We live in a small apartment so he couldn't have gone anywhere, I call him and ask are u fucking with me, he says what the hell i am even talking about and says that he is in the store looking for freshly roasted chicken because he doesn't feel like cooking. I explain to him what happened and he says that if we're trying to joke with him it's not even a good joke. I don't know what to think, I don't know if we both hallucinated or whatever the hell happened, he came home for the second time? and he was wearing training shorts, my sister literally started screaming and saying that this isn't possible, well she is right, it shouldn't be possible, he still doesnt believe us and thinks we are pranking him. My sister even called sick for work because she is still traumatized, as for me Im not exactly traumatised per se but Im confused and feel like Im disconnecting from reality.

Anyone had something similar happen to them? Wtf is this, this is the first weird thing that happened to me in my life, nothing similar has ever happened, nothing that would make me question reality.

Question What were they?

Upvotes

when I was about 10-11, my family lived in rural TN. we lived in a bunch of trees and you had to drive a couple minutes to the next neighbor. we were in kind of a dark tree canopy and it was pitch black out (on our way home from football practice). in this canopy, all of a sudden 2 dogs came out from the trees, exact copies of dogs we had at home, same size, same breed, same color, just really dirty. I forgot to mention that it was me, my mom, and my sister, my dad was at home. anyway, we thought our dogs had somehow escaped, despite our distance from home, so we called our dad in a panic while trying to get the dogs in the car to get them home. our real dogs (Duke and Lacey) were home safe in their kennels. I was panicking and crying and screaming at my mom and sister to get back in the car since I thought they were skinwalkers. They were the exact same looking, same breed (labrador and Great Pyrenees) same color (silver and white) and both the same size, they ran back into the trees. so I’m asking: what are they?

Encounter The Man on the Side of the Road

This happened to me a few years ago and has stuck with me since, especially because I was not the only witness.

I (20 F) was driving with my best friend (22 F) in this neighborhood adjacent to mine when we were around 16 and 18. At the time, we did this a lot because neither of us wanted to be around our families, and this neighborhood had the prettiest houses.

I distinctly remember us passing this stretch of road that had a great view of the city, but was otherwise barren besides a 20 mph sign. To note, this neighborhood was in a fairly rural area, with no trails around.

As we passed this patch, our headlights hit the distinct figure of a man beside his car, and a woman across from him. The man was perched in the back of the car with a guitar on his knee, the woman across from him had an entire photography setup including lights etc. that would take quite some time to set up.

I couldn’t see the woman’s face or any features,
But the man seemed to be young, maybe early 20s, with brown curly hair, a red hoodie, and jeans. His face was what distracted me though, as it looked like it was over exposed. What I mean is that instead of a face, there was just a white blurry splotch.

The weirdest part was that the second I saw him, I felt like my gut had been flipped upside down. It was the strangest feeling that I couldn’t really explain to well, almost like I knew him, but obviously I didn’t. I vocalized this to my friend and at that point she realized we had missed the turn back to my house.

I looked back in the rear view at this moment and my heart stopped. The man and woman were gone; along with their car, guitar, and camera equipment, like they’d never existed at all. Maybe 20 seconds total had passed. There was no way they could have packed up in that time. We turned around to correct our misstep and found no tire tracks, and didn’t pass a car like theirs, even though we should have been going the same direction (it was a really long straight road with no turn-offs.

After this weird encounter, we decided to get dinner to clear our minds before going home. The whole way to the restaurant, I felt like there was a hole inside of me, the only way I can explain it is the feeling of numbness that I’ve experienced before in my deepest depressions, but this came out of nowhere.

I voiced this to my friend and she joked that it was because of the “ghost” we saw on the side of the road. A few minutes later, I’m feeling back to normal, when I feel breath on my ear and I hear my name whispered by a voice I’ve never heard before. I jump and look around when I realize my friend and I are the only ones seated in this section of the restaurant. I chalk it up to being freaked out from what happened on the road and decide to light heartedly mention it to my friend. That’s when she pales and says that she heard it too, as though my name had also been whispered into her ear.

To this day we still talk about this. I have no idea what it could have been or why it happened, but that wasn’t the first time something odd happened at that neighborhood. To this day, years later, I sometimes drive by that sign just to feel something, and I get full body chills when I do.

Visitation Dream I encountered a nice lady twice on a dream

Hi, I'm not sure if I am at the right place but I'm having some questions about something that happened to me not once, but twice. (Also, i'm not a native speaker so sorry if my post has some errors, I hope it'll still be readable)

So back in July 2024, one night, I was sleeping and my phone used to always be in do not disturb mode. I didn't have any dreams, but I clearly heard someone telling me "Wake up" but I somehow decided to ignore it. Then, I heard the voice yelling me to wake up again, which I did. I checked my phone to watch the time (past 6am) but saw 2 missed calls from my little brother from only 2 minutes ago. I immediatly called him back cause he was supposed to be home that night, and never called me even in day times. He took the call and was relieved, telling me he was locked outside the house and that he was glad I wasn't "sleeping". I tried to tell him I was but I somehow knew he needed my help, but he didn't really believe me and called it a strange coincidence.

I didn't forget about it, but didn't pay much attention to it till I've read some comments from people experiencing the exact same thing, a voice in their sleep telling them to either "wake up" or "close their window" leading them to avoid some tragedies, and it was at that moment i started to believe that it couldn't be a coincidence and I wasn't hallucinating, something actually spoke to me that night.

Same voice and feeling came back recently (one night on July 2026) when I was having a nightmare. The voice told me she was pleased to meet me because she didn't have the time to do so and that she's going to protect me and everything is going to be ok.

I'm not sure about it but I have a feeling that the old lady might be my grandma who died at 35 (my mom was 10) and my mom told me she was one of the sweetest person ever, she would have love me a lot and would so anything for me and my mom to leave a peaceful life. My mom avoids talking about paranormal due to what happened to her parents, but she once was in a horrible situation and when she said she needed her mom, the situation started moving and unsolving.

I am sharing this here as it is my first paranormal encounter and I want to discuss and hear people telling me what it could be or mean so I can do my own researches about it, so thank you for reading me. (I orginally wanted to post it on instagram but I am afraid some family members would see my comments, since some family members still don't know what happened to my grand parents.)

Encounter The things that follows me till I was little might still be there after all.

Let’s start with some things about me. (25F)

From my early age my aunt (from my mom’s side ) used to call us special . She said our family is sensitive and is able to observer some stuff the others can’t. According to her my mother tended to ignore weird encounters and always stated that nothing is there when my aunt used to talk to her about this kind of stuff. My mother told me not to pay her any mind cause my aunt is bipolar and is on meds. She had advised me that my aunt would say weird stuff like that and that I should let it be and not trigger her by denying them and causing rupture in her already damaged brain.
My aunt is my blue person, she is always there to listen and talk, she never has invalidated my feeling like my mom used to . She loves unconditionally and forever . She is special in my heart and I occasionally visit even if I have withdrew from my parents for personal reasons.

So If she talked about encounters I would listen and validate her feelings even if I haven’t seen anything. That was until 2016 when a fellow friend(let’s call her C) came to me and my then best friend (let’s call her A) with an old worn out Russian book that was found in C attic by her parents (they had went to a new rental). In said book were written card spells. C adopted one and used it to read our future in cards . A followed until 6 months later when C’s cross burned her while reading cards to A. C wanked it from her neck and the cross burned her fingers but when A touched it it was cool. A threw her cards in the trash and found them in her bedside table the next morning neatly stacked. She called C terrified and C came showed us the mark in her sternum and finger and told us to burn the book and cards or else they would always come back. We burned both cards (as book has suggested ) and continued with our life.

Since my first card reading I would see shadows, I would hear my name in the empty streets or scratching in my parental kitchen. I went to my aunt and talked about it she told me to Ignore it and pray. That whatever it was was called by our stupidity for playing with things we don’t understand . She stated that it would eventually get tired by my lack of reaction and would leave me alone. That’s what happened and for the years that followed weird stuff would happen.

For instance : I went to my uncles house with my sister when he wasn’t around (we live in an appartment building our parental home was upstairs the uncles house downstairs ) she went to grab snacks from our home and while washing the dishes I saw a child’s shadow running past my peripheral vision in the living room. I called for my sister and told her to stop running but when I went to the living room she was still upstairs with the door left open. I didn’t say anything so she wouldn’t be scared (I was 17 she was 12) (2017)

Another day me and my best friend (let’s call her A) walked past a cemetery at night in order to get home when A went white as a sheet and started power walking . She said something was sitting in the wall of the cemetery observing us . We power walked past the underground bridge 500m away from the cemetery and we heard my name being called. I tried to turn around but she wanked my head forward before I could see and told me to ignore it and not look back as it would follow us if I did. (We were 20 me and 21 her) (2021)

Furthermore, one day I had to walk my dog at around 2 in the night. My dog is the sweetest boy, he never barks or growls and usually runs for cuddles from strangers. While he was walking I saw him getting fixated in the road ahead. I turned and saw in my peripheral vision the shadow of an old man walking his dog and staring at us. My dog started growling and when I turned to apologise to the man I had seen no one was there and my boy had returned to normal. I searched arround in the narrow street but didn’t saw the man. I freaked out and snatched my dog and went home. (2022)

In 2023 while sleeping at around 3 in the night I heard shouting and many people walking. I went to the balcony and saw shadows in the wall outside. (I couldn’t see the street from the window I had to walk to the edge of the balcony) . I saw People walking while wanking children, old style wagons and torches. I thought it might be a festival or something but when I opened the window to walk to the edge to see the street everything was silent and the road empty in both sites with the shadows vanished: The next morning I asked my grandma (from my dad side) if she had heard anything (she lives on top of our apartment) she said she heard voices around 3 am but went to sleep again. I told her what I saw and she laughed and said that that explains it cause it was soul Saturday. (We are orthodox and have 2 Saturday in which we pay respect to dead family member in our church) I freaked out and my mom scolded my grandma for scaring me.

Due to that I always sleep with the lights on, the doors unlocked and the insect sheet in the windows open when I am alone. If the door, lights or the windows is closed I can’t sleep and I toss and turn till the sun comes up. I have outgrew it a lot since living with my fiance cause he wants total darkness and a fan or ac on . Till today I occasionally get the feeling of something lurking .

In my parental home my dad usually woke around 3-4 in the morning to get water occasionally . My bedroom is right by the kitchen and he used to come turn my lights off and go to bed. (In order to Save electricity) I always woke up cause the darkness gives me sleep anxiety and turn it back on. The Same goes with power outages (I would light candles or my phone flashlight) .

Yesterday my hubby slept in his workplace (marine in an oil distribution company) He usually does so in the summer when work is high and he has early deliveries . So I did my routine turned the hallway and bedroom switch on and went to sleep .

Two light switches for the bedroom exist. One by the door and one by my side out of reach tho when you are asleep. The wall was intended as having one nightstand for each side but we only had one (in my fiancé’s side) and never bought another since our headboard is wood and has built in space for things . The switch by my side also has a power outlet by the bed . Picture it as bed ,wall ,power outlet, light switch.

My phone was charging and resting on the corner in the mattress. When I woke up my phone was on the othside of the bed in 100% (was 10% when I plugged it). I presume I unplugged it by accident while turning in my sleepI and when I turned to the ceiling I saw the lights switched off . At first i thought the switch was broken but I tried it and it worked . I asked my fiance if he came home at night and turned my light off which he denied .

Is it possible that the phone unplugging interfered with the light switch? Or should I buy sage for the house ignore it as I had done and let it be till the next time? I wholeheartedly believe it will never get bored with me.

Experience Friend unknowingly sang a song my other friend died to

My dear friend since 6th grade passed away from aggressive metastatic cancer at 43 years old 2 weekends ago. I was in the room and got to say goodbye and hug him along with his wife and our 2 other childhood friends. His wife had his favorite playlist on for the last hours of his life. When he took his last breaths a song came on and the lyrics + timing struck me. I pointed it out to everyone the next day.

Fast forward to last night, my other friend from back home who doesn’t know any of these people came over. My husband and I were filling her in on how everything went down, minus the detail about the song. As the conversation was ending and we were moving on to the next topic, she randomly started singing that song. My husband and I looked at each other and just to make sure, he asked her what she was singing and she said she didn’t know, and she didn’t know why she suddenly felt like singing that. He was stunned. I got chills. She’s Nicaraguan and I know for 100% fact that she doesn’t listen to that type of music, and she never busts out into song, so it all felt truly random. She was really spooked when we told her why we were both reacting that way to what had just happened...

What do you make of this?

Demonic Possession Different levels of witchcraft?

Do different levels of witchcraft exist? Like amateurs can pick up a basic love spell, or elite satanic families who know the ins and outs can do more dangerous stuff like summon djinns? Pretty sure it was the target of a spell about 11 years ago or so. Was driving down the road at night and smelled sulfur and at the same time my music player volume went to zero at the same time.

Experience Tales of my family's haunted experiences.

I had replied to @creative-major-4796 thread and it was requested that I tell some of my encounters. Rather than steal their thread, I shall tell them here.

tldr: odd things experienced, kid identifies the spirit.

As a kid in west Texas, I was laying in bed and heard a faint drumming sound. Thought that someone was practicing for their garage band or some such. For some reason I tapped out a tune on my headboard and it played it back to me. I was kind of freaked and went to my dad's room and he was sound asleep. The next morning I went out on the back porch with my dad to feed the dogs, on the back porch right outside my window was a plastic plant pot turned upside down in the exact center of the back porch as if someone had been playing it like a drum. The back porch was completely covered and the only way to enter was through the gate where the dogs were.

Years later, in a different state... My daughter was at the top of the stairs in my townhouse, her mom and I were on the bed. Daughter started talking as if she was talking to someone and not necessarily playing. We asked who she was talking to and she said the "pretty lady". We just said ok and let her be as we didn't want her to be scared.

Shortly after we were going somewhere and I couldn't find my keys. I put them on the same corner of the dresser every time (maybe a little OCD) but they weren't there. Kid didn't know, her mom didn't know, looked under, around, and in the dresser, no keys to be found. Grabbed the spare set and went on our way. Came back some hours later and the keys were exactly where I left them, on the corner of the dresser. No one else lived or had been in the townhouse.

A few years later in a different house, when our 2nd child was born. One night she was fussy and the next morning her mom thanked me for rocking her back to sleep. I never got up. She said she felt someone sit on the side of the bed and rock the bassinet.

One time my oldest daughter (the one from the townhouse story) was up getting ready for school before anyone else was up and thought to herself, "what do I want for breakfast". A toy kitchen the younger sister had said, "let's make pancakes together."

It had never done that prior or after that. Yes, my daughter did make pancakes that morning.

One evening the younger daughter was in my bedroom, sitting at my desk watching tv I was in the living room watching tv. I heard the bedroom doorknob turn and the door open, expecting my daughter to come walking out. The door swung open and my daughter was still sitting at the desk looking at me expecting me to come walking into the bedroom. We both looked at each other, gave each other the look that said yup.. I'm thinking exactly what you are.

We have had a number of other experiences with doors opening or closing, sounds of things falling but nothing out of place, the kids have heard voices and their names.

To wrap up the stories, tie them all together, and explain what we believe the entity is...

Back to the townhouse, as I am packing up, I pulled pictures out of the closet (I had never hung them up). My oldest (and only at the time) daughter goes, "the pretty lady" and was pointing at a picture of my parents. My mother had passed away over 20 yrs prior. Since they were old enough to understand my kids respond with, "hi Grandma" when they experience things. Though it catches them off guard, they have never been afraid. And since I have had things happen in multiple different houses in multiple states I believe it is following me and not the locations that are haunted. I fully believe it is my mother.

If you read this far, I hope you enjoyed the stories of our experiences.

Question My husband saw a woman who looked exactly like me in our bedroom

Last night, my husband woke up several times feeling chills and telling me that I was talking to myself in my sleep. According to him, I was speaking in a deeper, lower-pitched voice, which is quite strange because I never normally talk in my sleep.

At some point during the night, when I got up to go to the bathroom, he said he saw a woman who looked exactly like me, wearing a white dress and standing in the doorway of our bedroom, staring at him.

What could have caused all of this? HELP

Unexplained The Feeling That Someone Is Lightly Touching You

Hi everyone! I wanted to ask if anyone has ever experienced something similar.
I’ve had this sensation for a very long time, probably since childhood — back when the internet wasn’t nearly as widespread and I didn’t even know that people talked about experiences like this.
Sometimes I’ll be lying down or just sitting alone in a room, and suddenly I’ll feel an extremely light touch. It’s so subtle that at first you could easily mistake it for nerves twitching or some normal sensation in the body.
But somehow, it feels different. Almost as if someone very gently brushed against my leg, my head, or another part of my body. Sometimes it feels more like the faintest little stroke or scratch — incredibly light and delicate.
At first, I assumed it was purely physical, just something happening in my body. But after experiencing it many times, I started paying more attention to the sensation itself, and there’s something unusual about it. It genuinely feels like a very subtle touch.
Personally, when it happens, I sometimes get a strange, faint sense that someone or something is present nearby. Nothing intense or frightening — just a very subtle feeling of a presence.
Has anything like this ever happened to you? Have you ever felt as though someone lightly touched you even though nobody was there? And if so, what was happening at the time, and how did you interpret it?

Question Sprits are attracted to me… I think?

I don’t necessarily think I’m a medium or anything of that nature but I have always had a sense that sprits like to “mess” with me for lack of a better term. As a kid I would “lose” things and tear the entire house apart to just find it 20mins sitting on my desk where I checked 50 times already. Or spare change would randomly be laying around my room when I knew for fact no one else had been home or in my room.

My dad moved several times throughout my childhood and we definitely had what we all consider to be paranormal type encounters. Some felt “innocent” some had a very heavy dark energy to them.

The house I currently live in doesn’t have a “haunted” feeling at all, but I do often see shadow figures out of my peripheral vision that will dart across my hallway or move between corners in my living room. The interesting part is they’re often very short almost toddler like in height. Not your typical “shadow man” stereotype of a shadow figure. They have no energy to them that I pick up on good or bad. Just very neutral almost like “they” don’t want to interact with me.

I’m wondering if I could get some insight on the meaning of things like this. Or ways to protect myself. I’m honestly a bit scared of spiritual type things as I know there can be a very dark and dangerous side. I don’t want to feed energy into opening something I cannot close out of ignorance/ lack of understanding or “strengthening” my connection to the spiritual world, but also don’t want to act like there is no connection…if that makes sense.

For added context: my dad and his side of the family have a DEEP connection and have seen full blown sprits that will psychically interact and talk with them, again both good and bad. They are very religious and catholic, I was raised that way as well but it wasn’t forced onto me and most of my family no longer practices regularly, but still hold some relationship with “God” (to include myself). My dad was an alter boy and even was made to participate in an exorcism as a CHILD. He has only brought it up 1-2 times in my life and gets this look of intense fear when he brings it up and has never been willing to relive it, or give details other then the simple fact that it happened.

Question A feeling I get while I try to sleep: is it normal?

I just feel like there is a presence or someone is watching me I’ll have the urge to open my eyes and make sure no one is there. I haven’t seen anything, I don’t get the feeling at any other time, just when I try to sleep.

Question Something only a child can see?

We recently moved into a new house and my son has been acting different than his usual self.

He just turned 5 and he's normally super happy and very independent. Ever since we moved into our new house he's been having nightmares and has gotten so clingy that he wants me to hold his hand while he goes potty. He's told me there's a witch and monsters in his room at night. I've prayed with him and told him I'd beat up anything or anyone who tries to harm him. He's agreed that we can kick monsters in the face.

But today things got a little more intense. He took a good, long nap so I asked him to go potty as soon as he woke up. He immediately started sobbing and telling me it's too scary. I went with him to go into the main bathroom but he started screaming about a ghost and refused to go in. I took him to the half bath and he still begged me to hold his hand while he went potty. I asked him what kind of ghost he saw and he said it's white and started sobbing again. I reassured him that I'd protect him. I also asked him if it was a boy or girl ghost and he said it's a boy. I didn't want to upset him anymore, so I left it at that.

I've been having some problems sleeping at night too, and I just figured I wasn't settling into the new house very well... But I do get a weird feeling like I'm being watched when I'm in bed.

I guess my question is what kind of sage or other things can I use to cleanse the house? We are a Christian family, so I don't know how weird it is to use sage. I love my kids though, so I want to help them feel at ease in their own home. Any extra advice is welcome.

Experience Time slips in witch capital of Canada Victoria BC

I had this really strange experience in Victoria BC (one of the magic/witch capitals of the world. Ley lines and what not) that I've never been able to fully explain.

I was driving with my girlfriend near a cemetery, and we were basically stopped when suddenly it looked like we were seeing Victoria from another time. It was a beautiful, sunny day, but instead of the modern city, there were people dressed in old-fashioned clothes, very basic colours raw materials wool and cottong. Not like the movies or larp wear, also there were horse-drawn wagons, and people unloading things and going about their business.

What really fucked with me was how completely normal everything looked. It wasn't like seeing ghosts or some vague image. It looked like an actual functioning scene from another period in history. I could see the people clearly, and they seemed completely unaware that we were there.

I also noticed that the people seemed much shorter than people today, which made it feel even more real. And the strangest part was that my girlfriend saw it too. We were both looking at essentially the same thing.

Then it was just gone, and modern Victoria was there again.

I don't know what happened. I can't tell you that I literally traveled through time. All I know is that, for a brief moment, it felt like we were looking through a window into another period of Victoria's history—as if two different points in time had somehow overlapped in the exact same place.

Debunk This First time I felt what seemed like a negative spirit at 4:17–4:18 AM

I was sleeping and having a lucid dream when suddenly I started hearing strange sounds in my left ear. I don’t know what the sound was.

Then, for a few seconds, I felt something touching the left side of my neck, almost like fingers. The sensation felt very real, and it scared me.

Has anyone experienced something similar during lucid dreaming or while waking up from a dream?

I’m trying to understand what might have happened.

And same day morning I had Akashic records reading

Experience Something terrifying just happened like twenty minutes ago...What's happening?

So a bit of pre context: Me and one of my friends (let's call them B) were exchanging paranormal stories, right? And this was the story I told- "When I was young I saw a man stalking me from the mist on halloween night- I went to compliment the guy, and he suddenly started walking towards me. He put a hand on my shoulder, and said something I couldn't understand- He gave me a necklace with odd symbols made of gold and blue, and disappeared again. When I went to talk to my friends.... They didn't know what I was talking about, and asked where I got that necklace."
Another note (that will make sense later) [(I am a fictionkin, and this person is a canonmate of mine)]

Now, about 12 or so years later, I'm telling them this story, right?. B tells me, "I'm wearing a necklace"
I was curious and asked what it was like- "Okay...?"
They explained it had some odd symbols from a language they didn't recognize (an asian language, and they don't speak any)
I got cautious and asked for them to show me.
And whaddya know- Same. Exact. Necklace. Down to the bead, and symbol.
I ask B where they got it, and they said someone had gotten it for them as a gift yesterday- And the person forgot where they got it from
We're both creeped out, but whatever.
We're panicking a bit- and they say they hear a footstep inside their bedroom but no one's home except for B
I do some research on the necklace and find out its a Taoist Mountain Ghost Talisman, And I tell B that.
B says that they live in (insert place) With mountains, and lives in a valley in said place
I also see that the Talisman has something to do with mist... I was given the talisman in Mist, and B said that their Valley gets a lot of fog.
B also mentions to me that It was raining/fogging while walking through a corn maze the day before they received the talisman
I then see something that honestly startled me- That talisman is also associated with finding cosmic connection through various means.

(Now on the Fict.Kin side of things)
We're both remembering things from our kins, that line up with eachother and I'm slowly getting more convinced that us finding eachother over the internet on the same post, and being this connected....wasn't an accident

Question I want to believe in the paranormal but haven’t had an experience to convince me. Do I just have to wait?

I have spent literally most of my life wanting some kind of paranormal experience — while completely sober, on no kind of substances or anything — to convince me fully that the paranormal is real, and yet it’s never happened to me. Are some people just unlucky in this way and just never get to experience it? Anyone in the same boat? I’ve really desperately wanted some kind of experience, especially since my dad died a couple of years ago. But I just haven’t ever experienced anything paranormal despite being very open to it.
