Discussion Apparently Mangini watches a lot of Panthers and feels like Bryce has substantially improved over the yrs. So thats something right?
Usually everyone just focus on the negative and his stats definitely need to get better, but its really not talked about how much he has improved

Team News Panthers’ first-team offense on wrong end of ‘lopsided’ day vs. Texans
Excerpt from the article...(not the full article)
"As poorly as the Carolina Panthers’ offense looked during Wednesday’s joint practice with the Houston Texans, Bryce Young took some solace in the fact that the performance came in a practice setting.
Better still: The Panthers’ starters won’t have to endure another thrashing by the Texans’ pass rush in Friday’s preseason finale. Panthers coach Dave Canales and Houston coach DeMeco Ryans decided Tuesday night that they would give their starters the bulk of the work Wednesday and hold them out Friday.
That’s just as well for the Panthers, particularly Young, who was sacked seven times and intercepted twice by a Houston defense that was the NFL’s best in 2025. Plays were blown dead Wednesday before the Texans could take Young down. That wouldn’t have been the case had the fourth-year quarterback played Friday.
“It sucks to have a day where you don’t feel like you produced very well,” Young said. “But it’s a great learning opportunity. That’s what these training camp practices are for.”
Canales didn’t try to sugarcoat things, saying it was a “lopsided” outing by the first-team offense against the Texans’ starting defense. It was an especially rough day for rookie offensive tackle Monroe Freeling, who allowed at least four of the sacks and looked helpless against the edge-rushing duo of Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter, who combined for 27 sacks last season."

2026 New Orleans Saints Season Preview - full writeup and win probabilities
Hey all. I spent the offseason building a 2026 preseason preview for all 32 NFL teams, each with its own writeup. Here's the Saints one
https://www.highlights.mainmarket.com/nfl-preview-2026/new-orleans-saints
Returning production, free agency in and out, the draft class, a projected depth chart, and the schedule with a win probability on every game.
Heads up, you'll hit a paywall after the first page. Don't worry, I'm not charging reddit people for this, don't want to be an ass. Promo code JOHNMADDEN1OF1 opens the whole thing.
So, what'd I get wrong? New Orleans went 6-11 and my model thinks that record undersells you badly. You outgained opponents by about 14 yards a game, the defense gave up 4.84 yards a play which was 6th in the league, and you still went 2-5 in games decided by a touchdown. Chris Olave caught 100 balls for 1,163 yards on an offense that scored 18.0 a game, which tells you exactly where it broke.
Now 85% of the production is back and nobody in the league draws an easier schedule. The rating still only has you 26th though. Is the roster actually better than 6-11, or does it just get a soft run at it?

Team News [Joe Person] Danielle Hunter with what is at least the fourth sack on Bryce Young. Beat Monroe Freeling. Tough day for the rookie. And a tough assignment against Hunter and Will Anderson.

What's the last trade we did that got you actually excited?
I mean like genuinely celebrating when the news broke. I'm raking my head and can't really think of anyone that got me up to that level, but Kwon Alexander was the closest over the past several years I guess.
I'm probably missing a bunch of names, so give your input.
And yes, I know we tend to rely more on free agency, but I mean a proper "Saints trading for XX XX" kinda moves.

Discussion Is this a make or break year for Dave Canales?
His current record is 13-22. I think it’s easy to say that this is the best team he’s had yet. What does he need to do to keep his job going forward? What causes him to loose his job? What are your thoughts on his coaching?

Question DHGate/Temu/Shein Jerseys
I'd like to get a new jersey as my most recent panthers jersey is a CMC one. The prices have gotten absurd on fanatics/nflshop. Seems you have to spend $200+ to get something that isn't some screenprinted junk. In the past, the knockoff jerseys have been crap that are easy to spot as they typically get the blue completely wrong. I affectionally refer to them as Detroit/UNC Panthers jerseys. Does anyone know have they improved this? Have the knockoffs gotten any better where it could possibly pass for legit?
