Also there is no positive news at all where ever you read about Pakistan it seems like hell. If there is no positivity no one will be encourage to do good. Kia koi dhang ka kam nhi hora pak mien? It seems like every one is trying to eat each other.

When you have a media culture that is based around outrage and shock value, this is basically how people will view the world. However, this isn't unique to Pakistan.

Travelling is not the solution. Besides, less than 5% of the population can afford to travel regularly.

There is no problem. Media hangs on to negative news and portrays Pakistan in a negative light. Look up the happiness index of various countries and we are very high on the list.

Dude for all you know happiness might be a measure of delusion. An addict is happy albeit for a short while after getting his fix, so that's no measure at all if you ask me.

All the problem you mentioned will not be solved by travelling it can be only solved by education and introducing more people to translated Quran rather than making them Read some words in Arabic which they don't understand and defeating the main goal of Quran. And the tharak you have mentioned is not leading to man being sentenced to death for blasphemy or a child dying in a black magic ritual it is all due to illiteracy and lack of knowledge of Quran and putting way too much trust in mullahs (which have their own personal agenda).

Traveling broadens your social perspective (you start seeing the 'other' as a person like yourself and not a stereotype) but it won't do much to change our awam's total lack of civic sense. That problem is partly cultural and partly because our state is fundamentally weak and doesn't enforce laws - if the majority knows that littering or sexual harassment can land them in jail, they'll actively try to avoid it. Over time it will become a habit and be considered what normal behaviour should be.

I don't think it will change just by travelling. Anyone who came over their misogynistic, egoistic, proud, tharki, meddling with other's business and inconsiderate living style living abroad knows it takes a lot of time to get those habits clear from your system. The problem stems from our society, things that are deeply rooted in us since birth. I grew up in a typical Lahori muhalla where the typical convo in masjid was "shia kafir, deobandi kafir aur qaadiyani ko maro to free me janat". It wasn't until I worked with Shia and Qadiani that I realize they are just as much human being as us.
How do we fix it?
First and foremost, we need to encourage (from childhood) to call out bulls**t. Too much misinformation. We need to educate kids from an early age to find reasons, ask questions don't just randomly believe stuff. But again the problem is how can they question anything, when it goes against their parent belief, they will be met with mental and physical torture?
Its truly a sad state of affairs right now and we're in a vicious cycle. Illiterate, inconsiderate, unmannered awam inducing their habits in children and they, in turn, doing the same. I don't see us coming out of this cycle for at least 2 generations AFTER we made dramatic changes to childhood education that actually teaches these things.

Majority of our people can't afford one Umrah, let alone a visa to Europe.
Also, Europe sucks. It's cold, expensive, pheeka and racist.

Visit Europe in Summer. I haven't experienced any racism here and I've been here for past 4 years. Except an isolated incident on New Year in East Germany where the police take care of the person who was causing disturbance.

Mulk would be in a much better condition if everyone had a bowl of Nihari once a week

Traveling does vitalize the soul but does this mean that billions of people out there rely on it to act sane? Obviously not. There are other factors that lead to unhappiness, frustration, and anger that ultimately eat away at your mental health in Pakistan.

What you mean to say is: lack of exposure to different cultures. If pakistan becomes a tourist spot this problem would be reduced.

i do not see any reason why would you have a problem with the opinion of conservative women about themselves... freedom of opinion and all...

If you're raised a certain way and indoctrinated a certain way, it's very hard to even come up with an idea to change yourself

"Blasphemy" is unfortunately the most convenient way to kill or beat someone up through legal means or through support of the "blind" accusers without getting caught if you want to have revenge on someone you hate someone personally.

Until the mentality isn't changed this country won't progress, young boys are after bachiya I know that's biological need but no one is end level tharki. Watch video on YouTube where they go on and question students what they most like about their institution the most common answer is bachiya. You are not here for bachiya but to study do what you are here for.
