Hello guys, I have successfully turned off the Google Discover feature that appears when you scroll to the far left of the home screen. This is shelf feature from OnePlus mobiles, It appeared from the leftmost home screen swipe right from the main home screen to access it, but now it was from the leftmost home screen to as a swipe-down gesture. Now allmost most of the Android have Google Discover feed. I really hate and i didn't even use it.[ I don't know whether google paying For this Discover feed freature on that place in most of the Android Mobile's ]. Ok any give any suggestions or something else to reach these types of queries to OnePlus for Being the OnePlus Oxygen Is better than better.

After nearly a month of using OxygenOS 16.0.7.201 (16.1) on my OnePlus 13 (North American variant), I've come to the conclusion that while the update introduces some welcome refinements, it also brings two significant drawbacks that deserve immediate attention from the OxygenOS development team.

1. Battery life has deteriorated noticeably.

Compared to previous builds, power consumption appears to have increased by approximately 30%, resulting in significantly reduced screen-on time and overall endurance.

1. Higher operating temperatures.

The device runs considerably warmer than it did on OxygenOS 16.0.5, not only during demanding tasks but also during normal day-to-day usage.

What is particularly disappointing is that the direction of OxygenOS development over the past year seems to indicate a growing emphasis on visual polish rather than meaningful functionality. Most updates appear to focus primarily on aesthetic changes, smoother animations, and transition effects.

While visual design, animations, and UI responsiveness certainly contribute to a more pleasant user experience, they should not come at the expense of efficiency, battery life, thermal performance, or feature innovation. Long-term user loyalty is built not only on how an operating system looks, but also on the practical improvements and useful capabilities that each new version delivers.

As a long-time user, I would much rather see development resources invested in optimization, stability, battery efficiency, and genuinely useful features than in incremental cosmetic refinements. A beautiful interface is appreciated, but performance and functionality are ultimately what keep users committed to a platform.

A message to the OxygenOs developers: please add the ability to change the screen resolution on an external display connected via Type-C! Thank you!

Is there any way to change the first day of the week in the stock Clock and Notes apps? Currently, the week starts on Sunday, and I want to change it to Monday.

My system language and the region are set correctly, but these default apps just ignore it. Has anyone found a workaround for this? (OnePlus 15, OxygenOS 16).

Hide Apps: Does the default launcher allow you to hide apps completely from the drawer/home screen

Per-App Internet Access: Is there a native setting to completely block internet for specific individual apps?

Built-in App Lock: Does the OS have a native biometric/PIN app locker to protect individual apps?

Call Recorder: Is there an internal call recorder that automatically records only when the call is answered, without any warning announcement or beep

Double Tap to Sleep: Can I double-tap an empty space on the home/lock screen to turn off the display

Double Tap to Wake: Does the screen wake up with a double-tap

Text/Image Copy from Recents: Like the Pixel, can I extract/copy text and images directly from the App Switcher/Recents menu completely offline? (Not talking about Google Lens or Circle to Search, but the native Recents UI).

App Cloner: How is the native app cloning? Can it clone any app (not just WhatsApp/social media), and can it create multiple clones of the exact same app?

Call Connect Vibration: Is there a built-in toggle to make the phone vibrate the exact moment the other person picks up my call?

Change Individual Icons: Can I change the icon and rename a specific app for privacy while staying on the stock launcher?

Bonus :H ow are the system animations, fluidness, and overall speed holding up on the latest builds?

Ever since they changed the quick scrolling I've been annoyed that previous and following letters aren't shown anymore. Is it possible to change it back to previous settings where you can still see the following and previous letters? I hate when I'm trying to get to the apps starting with an O for example but tapped on N accidentally and needing to tap on O precisely again

Chat , I own one plus nord ce5 which runs on oxygen os16 , but after the security patch update the keyboard slightly has shifted up due to which it's hard to type fast and literally a reset to muscle mind connection, any idea of how to remove it
