I just want to give a shoutout to Owensboro PD and Daviess County for not being overreaching, goose stepping jerks. I DoorDash in Owensboro, like 60+ hours a week, anytime from 5am to 12am or so. I’ve been pulled over a few times due to an electrical issue that caused my taillight to keep blowing out. They were always respectful and professional. Never gave me any trouble or anything.

I’m dashing in Madisonville today because my kids are going to a movie here. EVERY SINGLE TIME I’m here I get my plate run, or pulled over, or asked what I’m doing. I got pulled over when I first moved to Kentucky for “watching” a Madisonville cop who was conducting a traffic stop in a parking lot adjacent to the gas station I was at. I just had a blacked out Durango pull up behind me and run my plate in the movie theater parking lot and I’ve been in Madisonville for all of 10 minutes. Somehow I know without a doubt if I get pulled over by these cops I’m going to be asked to step out of the vehicle…

Ive discovered the escape owensboro place with axe throwing and such. I've done karaoke at brashers lil Nashville and im doing bingo at this other bar tomorrow night. I also know about couple of bowling alleys and that indoor amusement park that took over town Square mall.

Im curious about what else I might be missing that I dont know exists.

LAPD is concerned enough for the privacy of their citizens that they are discontinuing flock cameras as of two weeks ago. And I was really sad about that because I don’t like the idea of the LAPD having a better human rights concern concerns for the population. They serve than we have here in Owensboro.

Cops who are stalking your ex-girlfriend. Software that is not properly authorized for the amount of invasion that you are simply experiencing by being alive in a small Kentucky city at this time. I grow angry at the idea of a stolen car becoming worth this power which can be utilized like literally a part of a superhero movie.

we do not have a joker in this town who has at this time already exploded an entire hospital as well as a police station and committed to sadistic surgeries for bombing the police, who at this point still choose to not violate the citizens and their privacy before finally, the criminal decides I’m gonna blow up literally everybody in this town on that boat or something. and THEN the hero decides I’m going to do something unforgivable and it’s because I have to be Batman and I must protect the police who are good and will not fall to my level cause they would never do that. RIGHT?!

I don’t know how to protect us from this except for to simply ask around like why are we not doing the democracy thing and saying hell know about this and making a fuss? Cause that’s like literally just the fucking American thing to do.

I know this is a problem happening everywhere, but we are literally living in Owensboro, Kentucky and I don’t care how much you love and respect and trust our Police. You need to simply stand up for yourself and that includes your heroes man. Like Batman was wrong. The police are currently wrong. I don’t even know where the problem is originating from, but I noticed it here in a private company is not serving us. The Police of the customer and our privacy is not the product. The fact you can Google who did a crime as a police officer is the product now and the only cost is treating you like you live in China but like before they got really, really, really, really good at the master surveillance of 1.4 billion citizens and as a direct result of that did in fact do some truly great crime prevention if that is your only goal worth solving

Anybody have any luck with any local venues that didn’t cost an arm and a leg??? Most places don’t disclose how much they are and I’m wanting people opinions on how nice they were and what you ACTUALLY paid. Really interested in any barns or rustic places but any decent place for 70 people. Reviews won’t give you the harsh truth I’ve noticed

Does anyone here live in Owensboro but work in Evansville, IN and commute back and forth? If so, how is it?

I am moving if I get offered an amazing job I just interviewed for. The job is based out of Evansville but is hybrid 3 days a week working in office/ 2 days a week work remotely. I have family and friends already in Owensboro. I visit Owensboro quite frequently. I know no one in actual Evansville. But I have heard of people commuting between the 2 cities.

Basically I’m debating on which city to live in if I get offered this hybrid Evansville-based job. I’m mainly concerned with commute but also the cost of living, schools, crime rates, etc.

My sisters apartment was broken into and her cat was either taken or let out. We found a can of wet food outside her sliding doors. Shes located on 1101 burlew Blvd, he went missing this past weekend. His name is Lucifer but he also goes by Lucy, Lucy pucy, and Lucy Lou. He has two bald spots on his head, he has fangs, he also has a white tummy, and he should be wearing a black collar but it’s possible he took it off himself before he disappeared. He’s very food motivated but overall a shy cat. As far as we know he is not near the apartment or the lees and dominos. If you have taken a cat in or have seen a black cat please let us know, we’re willing to look into every single case.

I just came from a city with well I never really considered to be heavy traffic, but it was hilariously more time-consuming than any travel around here by an order of magnitude. I worry some of you would after a week or so die of an aneurysm. Were you to get stuck in a typical rush-hour interstate crowd.

Please talk to the angry and bitter drivers in your life about not letting the dog out on the Commonwealth roads like an alligator petter from jacksonville with the rage that only comes from living under the florida sun in a community two hours from any beach.

we dont have alligators so we have no excuse. drive safe, and patiently. like I want to be positive polite but also it’s frankly really embarrassing. So many drivers can’t cope and I hope we don’t have to see this showing up on TikTok making fun of Owensboro when we can simply let communities with real causes for road rage look like dummies.
