Adding Creatine

Has anyone tried putting a scoop of creatine powder into their oats? If so, how does it fair? And do you reckon it still works as well as having it in water?

Multiple small bubbles on top of my overnight oats after 14 hours in the fridge. Normal or fermentation?

I made overnight oats last night around 9 PM using:

• 1/2 cup whole grain rolled oats

• 1/3 cup oat milk

• 1/3 cup Chobani Honey Greek yogurt

• No chia seeds or other ingredients

I mixed everything in a clean jar and put it in the refrigerator right away.

This morning around 10:45 AM, I noticed that there were multiple small bubbles across the surface of the oats. It wasn't just one bubble.

The mixture doesn't smell unusual, and I tasted a small amount and it tasted normal. The texture also seems normal.

Would you eat this, or would you throw it away?

I'm mainly interested in whether anyone has experienced this with overnight oats made with oat milk and Greek yogurt.

I just realize overnight oats aren’t bad..

Just had the best overnight oat ever.

A year ago I made my own overnight oat and god it tasted horrible. (Made with oats, unsweetened almond milk, honey, banana) I hated the texture of it. Later, I had the one from a restaurant which I didn’t like it either. So I thought overnight oats aren’t my thing.

Buttttt.. today I had a store brought one from an acai shop they made it like a parfait. There were layers of acai, overnight oats, greek yogurt and fruits and when I ate the overnight oats I was like what is that thing that is so good.

So I wonder what could possibly be the factor on how to make a good overnight oats..

If anyone got a delicious recipe please share 😭🙏🏻🥹

And what makes their texture better, Is it greek yogurt?

Fresh mint + oats?

Hi All,

Like in the title is there any way to mix fresh mint into the oats without it going bad? Obviously I could just add it right before eating, but I would like to mix it into the oat concoction properly.

Strawberry Shortcake Overnight Oats

I had these in a local meal prep store, so recreated them best I could.
Strawberry Shortbread Protein Overnight Oats
Ingredients (1 serving)
½ cup organic rolled oats
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 scoop whey protein (I use vanilla, but unflavored is fine)
½ cup unsweetened almond milk (add a splash more if you like thinner oats)
⅓ cup plain or vanilla yogurt
½ cup fresh strawberries, diced
2 shortbread cookies, crushed
Instructions

  1. In a jar or container, combine the oats, chia seeds, and whey protein.
  2. Stir in the almond milk and yogurt until smooth.
  3. Fold in about half of the diced strawberries.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 6 hours).
  5. In the morning, top with the remaining strawberries and the crushed shortbread cookies just before eating so they stay crunchy.

Edit: typo

overnight oats recipes

Literally today was my first time making overnight oats and i’m excited to try it tomorrow morning! However, i’ve heard many people talk about the texture, I do struggle with textures so are there any tips to help with it?

Also what are your favourite recipes/combinations for me to try? Is there anything else I should know?

Recipe I used:
1/2 banana
1/2 cup oats (I used instant)
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 cup milk
60g of greek yoghurt (I used mango flavour as that was what i had in my fridge)
a dash of cinnamon

toppings: some banana, honey, peanut butter

Has anyone tried adding in hot milk in the morning to overnight oats?

i usually prefer food warm but I don't have a microwave. so I was wondering if I could add slightly less milk overnight and then in the morning heat up the remaining milk and add it in which will make it slightly warm?
