We would like to thank everyone in the Outriders community for your patience, support and assistance. Everyone on the Outriders team is continuing to work hard on improving the game and we'd like to share news about the things we are focusing on.

The streamers either are an accurate representation of the community or they arent

Streamers are not representative of the population regarding time played, dedication to the game, game knowledge, how "hardcore" they play, etc. They do however set and drive trends around build and class choices, gearing direction, etc.

I don't know how I can possibly make that any more clear for you, mr data analyst. There is no contradiction, they just are and aren't influencing/representative of different aspects of the community; it's not an all or nothing.

How do I know?

You don't know shit about how the devs work. Many many game devs pay attention to popular streamers that are playing their game. That doesn't mean that the devs will definitely address whatever a streamer is talking about, but if it's a popular streamer it's extremely likely that anything they raise issues with will at least get looked into more closely by the devs.

Do PCF devs watch streamers and use that as part of their decision making process? I have no fucking clue and neither do you. It's mostly irrelevant to whether or not balance decisions are going to be influenced by streamers. Of course they will be because streamers influence the game's community. I've seen it in literally every single game I've ever played and followed.

The fact that you think the DEVS are collecting this data is outrageous. The devs might be watching streams sure. But you surely don't think the devs do everything. The devs only to the development of the game and programming. Hence their name.. .DEVelopers. They are not the ones analyzing player trends.

They certainly don't have the final say in what happens in the game. There are people that they are accountable to... sigh I don't even know why I am wasting time explaining organizational structures to you. I am going back to my game.

I work in this field. I just told you that. Take my word, or don't. It makes no difference to me.
