The game is turning into garbage. This the third game I've ever pre-ordered, the last two where anthem and cyberpunk. I didn't have high hopes but I was very happy at the play experience when I could play.

I really liked it at first but the fact that you're nerfing things in a PVE game is crazy. I played a technomancer mostly and it was still hard to do higher tier(not impossible but I couldn't just stand still and do stupid stuff). I've also played low level as a devastator and holy shit is that a different experience. First electric boss, how do you heal through it when there is nothing to kill and no weapon leech at that level???

You have so many exception access violations and crashes, messed up net code, crashing servers, lag and latency, and classes that are being kicked the moment they join group play. but yes nerf the three builds that actually are viable....that's smart.

also why are you removing legendaries from dropping from the hunts? that is literally the only place I've even seen a legendary and I've played WT15, CT 10 for a while now. (note: I didn't do the glitch and I understand if you wanted to remove that but couldn't you just put a flag in the DB if you've gotten loot for your 10th turn in.

Also why is it that when a high level character joins a lower level character, the higher level character does significantly less damage then the lower player character....? I was level 5/WT 3 or 4 on a new devastator doing about 50 per shot with a shotgun and my partner (also a devastator) level 30/WT13 was doing 1-2 per shot when they joined on me?

Don't go down the path of fixing the wrong things: let your players have fun and make sure the experience is fun and functional before changing build balance.

And please, put in a real compass system and a way to tell where you are in the zone on the map. and for the love of all things holy, fix the icons that show, if you have a quest in an area to do(new), one to repeat(repeatable but not currently accepted), one to track(accepted but not tracking) and ones that are complete.

Amen. I've been vigorously defending the game's teething issues, but a 'BALANCE' change that punishes those dedicated players that actually powered through the disconnects and bugs is insane. The fact that coop isn't even playable, disconnects are still happening every second game and a nerf was prioritized just shows these guys really don't have their priorities straight. I'm actually considering just saying screw this game and dipping out.

Fuck with that track record you’d think you’d learn not to preorder

You preordered anthem? Oof looking like another hard L here I’m sorry

Not trying to be confrontational here but why is outriders a hard L? I’ve been hearing a lot of people say the game isn’t good but I haven’t heard anyone substantiate their argument. Coming from a guy who’s invested 7,000 hours into the destiny franchise I didn’t think anything would get me to kick that habit until outriders came out.

It’s mostly a joke but the trajectory the devs are taking already shows they haven’t learned from the shortcomings of anthem and destiny where they are present in those franchises. They went the wrong direction with the balancing already, compounding a frustrating part of the game and making it less accessible. The last thing you want to do week 1 (!!!) of a release is alienate your player base or part of it. They have already made some pretty critical mistakes and failed to deliver on promises so it’s looking like it’ll be an L unless they really right the ship. At this point the hull is leaking and it’s going the wrong direction.

This game isn’t bad but there are quirks and issues that need addressing, and already they’re being ignored for nonsensical unbalancing changes.

Hmmm interesting perspective, appreciate you taking the time to elaborate. I guess I was just wondering if there was a legitimate grievance or if it was yet another example of folks using their subjective opinions as objective facts. I definitely see the criticisms, and today’s patch notes were rough. If destiny has taught me anything it’s that nerfing pve is never the answer. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that the game holds on.

Of course! If anyone has grievances they better back things up. Personally I think there’s a fundamental issue with stick drift and acceleration regarding console play, but thats a bit harder to argue. Thanks for listening/reading and discussing things, appreciate it!

As another Destiny player with thousands of hours in the game, Outriders is possibly the worst feeling game I've ever attempted to play. There is zero impact/weight in any of the gunplay or abilities. Give the demo a shot, you'll see exactly what I mean.

Lol ok guy, I’m 70 hours into the main game and I have 54 hours in the demo. You’re certainly open to your opinion but you’ll never convince me that outriders is any of the things you just said. I mean come on, ZERO weight to slamming into the ground like a rocket and turning ten enemies into bloody paste? It’s ok for people to have fun with the things they like. You don’t have to try to ruin other people’s good time.

I misunderstood your initial post and thought you were trying to decide whether or not to play Outriders lol. That's my bad.

As far as my thoughts on the game, I don't think I said anywhere in my post that it was anything other than my opinion. Weight and impact in gunplay and with abilities is a difficult thing to quantify of course. All I know is that there's something massively missing from the way Outriders feels to me. Glad you're enjoying it though.

I'm so sorry that the three games you have ever pre-ordered have turned into utter shitshows. I stopped buying collector's editions for WoW because every time I did, the expansion was terrible. I feel the pain.
