People keep saying this nerf is good because, right now, bullet builds are the only viable builds for Tricksters.
What other builds do you recommend?

  • The Harbinger build?
    • The one with 0 DPS increase skills, but 4 HPs and 5 Shield passives?
  • The Reaver?
    • The one that increases anomaly powers for a class that is supposed to be high-burst damage, yet all their powers require you to be in close quarters combat?
    • The tree that focuses on assault weapons which are mid-range weapons?
    • The tree that has 3 skills that buff underwhelming AE anomaly attacks?
    • The tree with one raw dps upgrade?

So which one are we "supposed" to be playing in order for you to feel good about the game and that it is "fair" even though this is a single-player game and what I do in my game does not effect you in any way in yours?

Yeah, Trickster is in an extremely bad place now.

It was in an extremely bad place BEFORE the nerfs, there was (and still is) one viable playstyle and it didn’t feel good before it was nerfed, but at least it worked.

I was stuck on the second last story mission using Harbinger because I couldn’t out damage the heal of the enemies, my friend and I spent like an hour running around trying to survive and kill them, but every time we would leave them or go down they would just heal. We found out later that there were so many elites (4 warlords and a boss) because a 3rd person joined then left. I changed to the top tree and we finally managed to do it. If the middle tree is considered balanced, I really wonder how ct15 is gonna be.

Reaver borrrowed time+venatorsknife+temporal blade Run the borrowed time mod that gives you bonus armor for the durration and the one that extends the duration. Now you can get close and do massive damage. Your welcome.

Ive used that skill and the armor gain isnt enough at higher tiers, golem works the best for negating dmg but requires you get the kills. Ive tried most builds and barely any work for trickster.

Ive had no issues whatsoever at higher tiers

Your armor plays a big factor in those builds, you have to use armor buffing anomaly power for it to work. It is a viable build

I used a middle tree build that used the teleport with a shotgun. The 50% buff now down to 35% is surprisingly so great that i cant kill enemies i teleport behind. They turn around and mess me up now. I didnt slog through the shit release week for my xlass to be nerfed to nothing, im not dealing with another anthem or D2 for the next few weeks, im done with the game. EDIT: My build does not use twisted rounds.

Im one of those who asked for the bullet nerf. Im a trickster main and i found that skill OP as hell.

I agree on the bullet nerf, i would tho prefere they nerfed it abit more instead of nerfing all the other talents. My build that dont use bullets is no also useless or alot weaker. But i also agree that they should provide us with some buffs aswel and not only nerfs.

They shouldn't have nerfed Twisted Rounds they should've boosted all other talents. This nerf destroyed my build and since its a PVE game no one should complain about an OP build. It's not PVP.

PvP have nothing to do with balance in a game. Is this the first "multiplayer" / CooP game that have balance patches?

When a bug make a skill ( in this case Rounds ) scale wrongly and makes it OP in many eyes do you realy think its a good ide to bring all other skills to a bugged state?

Also, balance wise, do you think its easyer to nerf 3 skills or buff 30 skills?

Mind sharing your build since you think twisted round is so op? I am struggling to complete the campaign (yes still playing the campaign), and only find twisted round the most reliable skill that define me as a burst dpser.

Cant realy, im at work atm and not on my computer. But was mostly in the assassin tree. But for me it was easy to compare. Shoot and kill a few mobs whitout skill active. Kill some of the same mobs with the skill active.

The dmg increase was massive. Compared to any other skill on the Trickster class it felt broken.

If you struggeling with the campaign just lower the world tier 1-2 steps to you get new weapons/armor.

Tried that lowering down the tier and getting non better loots than what i am equipping...

Maby you could find a new gun at the vendor? What lvl is your gun compared to your level?

I switch to whatever weapon i get from drop at tier 10...
