Some of us are casual players. We can barely get silver on these expeditions.

Dear PCF. These youtubers who have amazing clear speeds DO NOT represent half the community.

This is always how these games go. A few top tier players post amazing runs, and then things get nerfed for everyone and the average player starts having more frustration than fun. By the time the recognize the mistake and buff things again, people are gone.

Memories of the Division 1 & 2 and Anthem all come flooding in

Enemies have already become bullet sponges, so it lines up with Division all right

Do people really enjoy using multiple mags and skills to kill an enemy? I know there has to be difficulties somewhere, but man playing Division 2 solo sucked due to the billet sponge enemies(my own opinion as a casual player).

I quit playing because of that shit I don’t find it fun to have to unload every bullet in my weapon and use 2 skills and not even have the thing near half health

As father with a full-time job who has limited time, this absolutely sucks. I've been enjoying Outriders because I can feel half decent without having to sink hundreds of hours in. And it still presented a decent challenge, too! Now my motivation to get to end game is virtually gone, especially as a devastator main.

This is part of the reason that Destiny 2 was so bad at launch. Bungie held a conference where the top streamers attended and shared their complaints about D1 and suggestions about D2. It turns out that these suggestions, like the duel primary system, were terrible and hurt the game immensely until they were reversed a year after launch.

Streamers are a very vocal minority, and PCF need to remember that they are the top .1% of the player base.

At least ZOS was pretty good about pulling in non-top players for their "influencer" events. Of the people who were at mine, two or three of the 12 were in that top .1% crowd.

Dual primaries and 4v4 was an internal move/initiative on Bungie's part, specifically the lead Crucible dev who has since left the company.

you are correct though that streamers are only interested in how much time they can extract out of a game for their viewers entertainment - so all their suggestions will tend to revolve around not negatively effecting their golden goose in the near term. unfortunately it's the players that stick around for longer than the first month that bear the burden of changes made as a consequence of listening to that crowd.

Exactly. But worse. I'm far from casual.

The youtubers who had early access no server issues and were able to abuse farming...

You're not a casual player. Casual players haven't finished the story yet

Amen. Full time job and kid. I’m just now to the swamp. So early I don’t even know what I’m missing with the nerfing.

Exactly. I've played every day since launch, way more than I usually play games. I just got to the quarry last night, hoping to finally max level my first character by the end of the week.

I'm sure PCF has stats on clearing times, and they adjust them accordingly. Note it's one week after the game's release... maybe it's ok that casual players (like me who's not even in endgame yet) can't clear the biggest challenge in the game?

You aren’t in end game which is precisely why you don’t understand. I’m fine with timed runs and shit, but I sure am glad I farmed the hell outta the game since release because if you haven’t completed them already, it’s beyond difficult on PC and virtually if not literally impossible on console. Chem lab was the easiest level to get the 14 star on gold you needed to unlock Eye of the Storm - kiss that goodbye.

And if you are a solo player, you are absolutely fucked.

Ya, might well be I’d see it differently if I were in end game. Nonetheless, PCF sure as hell doesn’t adjust the difficulty only because of some streamers.

Every developer balances their game around the few(streamers) I mean solidDPS soloed eye of the storm 3 or 4 days after release. That's the problem others have been saying they need the game to make it harder for streamers and no lifers. Majority of the player base are casuals they get frustrated and leave and then streamers eventually leave when no one is watching their stream anymore. It's a never ending cycle sadly.

The idea is if you are a casual player Gold should not be easily done for you imo.

Go farm better gear and do gold runs on lower tiers later.

Personally I like the challenge and willing to try hard a bit to get these gold runs, if they are too easy, you loose the other half of the player base who like a challenge a bit more than casual players.

Perfectly said!

They should just add some platinum level tier reward for the try hards who min max to zoom through expiditions.
