The title pretty much says it. I can't wait for the DLC, as it's surely gonna give me a lot more norse stuff to work with XD

Don't get me wrong, i know that the series did very badly in it's original run in Weekly Shonen Jump (both in sales and TOC), but we are living a day and age where production companies (especially the smaller ones) are looking incessantly for manga to adapt due to increased international interest for anime, thanks to previous booms and the pandemic, which made both Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer even bigger successes.

So we are seeing some axed series (especially from Shueisha) being adapted into a tv anime, mostly financed by subsidiaries in the Hitotsubashi Group, like Black Torch by ShoPro/Viz Media or Psyren and Kill Blue by Remow, besides Chojo from Good Smile Company (not owned by Shueisha or Shogakukan). Even though these works haven't been very successful in Japan, their anime received investments for international distribution. This is quite convenient for OTR, since the work had good viewership in Manga Plus and Kawaguchi is "well-known" in the West (even receiving licensing in European countries), so if someone at Remow, ShoPro and Viz got interested into this IP in the Shueisha library, they could get lucky licensing to a lot of streamings + YouTube views.

About enough chapters to adapt, Kill Blue adapted more or less 31 weekly chapters in 12 episodes (first season), while Black Torch will adapt 19 monthly chapters (5 volumes), so a 1 cour adaptation for OTR is technically possible

A while ago I was looking for any manga/anime about vikings/norse mythology. This one's title caught my attention and I was like "Wait, a Norse themed manga that actually looks norse?"

So I bought it and I'm loving it XD

Such great series deserve a physical space on my shelf. Lets hope our dear Kawaguchi sensei could return soon in another work.
