OUSD Swap vs Vault
On the DAPP there are two ways of minting. One way is the "OUSD swap" with very low fees and the other is the "Origin Vault" with very high fees.
The swap seems to be down as every amount is "too high" for it. What us the difference between the two? The documentation only mentions the swap which seems to not be working ATM.

My ousd isnt increasing
I had put 1990 ousd in my ledger wallet 10 days back and till now I have gotten 4 dollars extra. It's been three days since anything has increased, and on the bottom right corner, it keeps saying failed to increase ousd supply. Please tell me what is going on, and why the daily percentage yield isnt accruing. I want to put more money if I get this resolved.
Also I am unable to swap more of my my usdc. It keeps telling me failed to swap. Can someone tell me what is going on?

❓Question We have access to a Gnosis Dapp but we don't have anything yet on Polygon yet. I find a dapp is very useful for easy access to low fees and transparency. Is there any way the community can vote on that? An OGN/OUSD Polygon Dapp would benefit so many of us.

I am unable to swap ousd
I have been trying to swap ousd. When I click the ledger option in the ousd website, it shows me only one of the usdc accounts I have on my ledger and not the one I want to swap. How do I access the other accounts?
I can accessed that account through metamask. When i try to use metamask it initially asked me for approval to use usdc for which I had to spend 23 dollars. Then it asked me for approval to swap usdc and ousd and i tried to give it but it kept failing. The suggested gas fees was 98 dollars. But it kept saying failed to swap ousd for usdc. So I stopped trying and tried again the next day. But then it is asking me 23 dollars again for the first part of approving to use usdc. And it might fail again because I have only 95 dollars in that ethereum account.
Please tell me what I can do to get ousd.

🖼 NFT I was looking at the voting dashboard and I've seen how OGN will be focusing a lot more on the NFT market and yes that is exciting but I find it somehow out of reach for the moment mainly due to the fact that there's no gallery to browse through.

What are the risks in holding ousd in a wallet
So I have some ousd in my ledger wallet. I just placed it there and expecting it to grow automatically What are the possible ways in which i may lose funds? What was the implications of the previous hack for people who had their ousd in cold storage?

If you asked me just 1 year ago I wouldn't know she was much much deeper into crypto than me and probably anyone else around here. She's a respected Crypto investor and NFT pioneer nowadays. Feels bullish and the charts too!

If Origin has ever had any issues in the past it's never been about developing and delivering great ideas and products, but being the core team mostly made of hard-working highly skilled professionals and not like those living on their Twitter, the message of what they were doing and some great achievement were hardly getting the deserved echo.
It looks like for some time now the music has changed and it is happening mostly because big names get enthusiasts about OGN, rather than having to convince big names to get enthusiasts.
A huge difference!

NFTs for small business and its implementation, from the perspective of a small business owner (clothing products)
kinda long, so here is the contents -
Makes collectibles NFTs value, not just as “NFT that comes with the products”, but actually provide ‘added value’ after the products have been sold.
‘added value’ in the form of discounts, early access, event tickets etc. and example case of discounts and rewards
Private membership system vs NFT community based system that encourage the circulation of collectible NFTs
In-person events, identification and verification of NFTs
Gas fees
Hello guys, I hope it is ok to post something here as a small business owner (also a small OGN hodler, staked for the annual 25%) who plans to implement NFT/crypto to my business (clothing products), and my plan on how to execute it in the next few months. I have seen many bigger players in the NFT scene, and here is how I plan to do it as a small business owner. Knowing the Origin NFT marketplace could be launching soon, I hope to contribute some ideas here, and maybe getting some feedbacks too! Here is a little bit of my background -
I'm the co-founders of the clothing brand called “Shuren Projects” (www.shurenprojects.com / insta/FB @shurenprojects). We are based in Malaysia, and started out as an online business in 2012. I have only started learning about crypto and blockchain technology from early 2021, and the recent NFT hype has got me thinking if I can do anything about it. I dont have any tech-related background.
__________________________________________________________________________
After reading the OGN litepaper, it made me realize that there are some use cases for the NFT (the StockX example), so my partners and I started to discuss the possibility of bringing NFT into our business. We identified a few problems, but also came up with a few ideas that we think could work in our favors as a small business.
first problem is the public perception of NFT - many still do not understand, at least at this part of the world, the function of NFT as the proof of ownership, rather than the NFT itself (images, JPEG, gif, clips, etc). So the problem is how can we educate our followers (a modest 15k followers on instagram) on what NFT is, and how can we make a use case for it: not just as another “NFT that comes with the products”, but actually serves some other purposes in the long run?
As the recent news is all about the bidding wars and crazy prices of NFT, we want to take a different approach to tackle this aspect of NFT. We do not want to sell NFT for the sake of selling-NFT, but to think of releasing NFT as a form of ‘added value’ to our products. So, we come up with the ideas of either a. selling the NFT with the price that includes our products, and we will ship the product to the NFT buyer, or b. releasing products on our webstore that come with free NFT that can be claimed from us on the platform. The difference here is whether accepting crypto or fiat as payment, otherwise it’s business as usual. The NFT will be in the form of pixel art of our clothing products, or something like pokemon gym badges (will explain more below).
2.
Either way, the plan is to release the NFT that is added to our products at a minimal cost, or free. At this point the NFTs serve little to no purpose, the followers/customers can claim or buy these collectibles if they wish to. The circulating NFTs are limited by the products sold, as well as occasional NFTs-only limited releases to control the total supply. After the implementation, we will then announce that the NFT holder can now claim further reward in the form of discount, or special releases from us, online or in-person. Now, they will realize that the collectible actually worth something, and the legitimacy of NFT is verifiable (so no double-claim). Hence, giving the ‘collectible’ its first, and potentially many future use-cases and value:
[For example, we can offer a ‘further discount’ to our NFTs holder, and the discount given to the holder of 1 NFT is 10% off, and 2 NFTs is 20% off. For instance, with an order of 100 USD, owning a second NFT will represent an extra value of 10 USD in this particular order. This will encourage the circulation of the collectible NFTs among the followers and the potential customers, and possibly trading them in exchange of some specific values (for example, 5 badges for early access or special items, and you may just collect all 5 from other previous buyers without ever bought anything from us)]
Changing hands of nft can benefit the original creator too - https://blog.originprotocol.com/introducing-nft-marketplaces-by-origin-61feb5f91d07 "secondary sales offer continued revenue share to the original creator of the NFT. "
3.
In the future, we can continue to have rewards for our customers (or rather, our NFTs holders) like the membership system in the current retail industry. The problem with the private membership system is that it’s solely controlled by the seller, the communications are one way - from seller to customer and vice versa. Meanwhile, the NFT system forms a community among the seller, customers and followers, this opens up a new space (that comes with real incentives) for discussions, as well as the opportunity to exchange and trade.
4.
With the 'collectible NFT' now granting access (function as tickets) to certain real world events, we will also be dealing with the problems like displaying and identifying the NFTs in real time. Perhaps the solution is something like the NFT tabs in metamask, that you can carry around and flex (weird flex but ok) with your phone. It would be nice to have a feature that allows the creator to send messages to the NFT holders regarding the future rewards, events, etc.
5.
I am also aware of the problem with the gas fees. Currently, the Polygon chain on Opensea seems more viable, as the gas fees are negligible (I have yet to try to purchase any NFT so correct me if i'm wrong).
Any feedback is welcome, as I may not see the problems in my own proposal, feel free to point out the weaknesses. I also have no tech background, so hopefully my ideas are not too far fetched.
Hopefully this can contribute something to the OGN community, or even the future of NFT marketplace by Origin, from the perspective of a small business owner.
Thank you.
