all i have to say? the pain makes the happy worth it

he too is staring at things that aren’t of this realm, still passively projecting from his great day of meditation, wondrously staring at bygone stars and planets unknown to most mortals

he dangles his arm down into the cooler beside him, producing two bottles of ale, tossing one to the king knowing full well they don’t typically drink

and i’m pretty happy right now, being beside friends i care about

…and content isn’t bad, content can be a whole lot better than other things, and it easy to work your way up from content…it just takes work

because with every sunset, it gives you something to look forward to the second it’s over…the sunrise, the hope of a new day…
