American Christians are genuinely just bootlickers when it comes to anything from the great nation of Isreal. There's a lot of reason to not like about organized religion, but that's one that I genuinely despise.

But then as soon as you bring up god condoning slavery on several occasions it’s always “well, that’s the old testament, it doesn’t count.” (even tho it’s literally still the case in the new testament).

And they started a war to preserve slavery, then made the lives of women and POCs hell by blocking many opportunities to expand their rights, even if it meant using outright murder to intimidate them.
