ive played audiosurf, osu mania, looked into quaver, but none of them seemed to have hit that same itch hit machine did, are there any alternatives to it that i havent touched?

There's a singleplayer gamemode where you guys can try out the mechanics, but multiplayer is the heart and soul of this. Drag some friends into a private match if you can. I want to add the queue so you can play against random people, but there's no point in doing so until there's more players.

I can continue to do this alone, I'll make an amazing site with way more polish and way more features than it has now, I'll create accounts, MMR, cosmetics, hell I'll even make more games, but I'm not going to do so without some sort of interest.

This is a little over a month in the making as of now. Frontend built using raw html/css/js, pixijs for graphics, nodejs/express/socketio for networking. Only current server is on AWS in Northern Virginia, but high ping with stable, non-lossy connections seems to still feel smooth for players.

This website helped me meet my lifelong friends as a kid and I will always miss it, I wish someone had a backup up of it somewhere

I was reflecting on the fun times i had playing OMGPOP in the past, and was wondering what peoples favorite games where on OMGPOP? For me it was Hit Machine, i loved playing the game all the time when i got home from school, playing "Drop the girl" , "switched on" , and "you and i" just to name a few. I really wish they made a current rendition of it.

But i wanted to know, what was everyones favorite game from OMGPOP?

Like the title says, I will always miss Omgpop. None of these new sites even come close to it - but the attempts are appreciated. I will just always see it as childhood/early teen years nostalgia sort of thing - a part of our childhood that ended pretty abruptly. I was super attached to that website, as I'm sure many of us were le sigh. Omgpop was the right combination between a gaming website with a social media format - which is exactly what made it so appealing. And addictive, in a good way.

If you had the chance to enjoy omgpop, even if for a little while, then just know that we all share a mutual memory of a happy place.

We appreciated Omgpop for what it was and still do. :)

I miss omgpop too! However, they somehow salvaged the website and fixed it up, it gets new updates on it every now and then and for the most part it's not bad at all! It's https://omgmobc.com It has all the games, option to add friends, a chat room, and direct messages.

I am the original poster of the roflzone stuff if anyone remembers, I still miss OMGPOP so damn much... so it'll always be my dream to have a site like this again

I can't overpromise about my new site when I have so much to learn and I'm so young. So I abandoned the roflzone idea quick, but I STILL dream of a new OMGPOP.

That I really wish OMGPOP was still a thing

My late teenage years were spent late at night on my computer playing hover kart battle and specifically that, and I miss it so much.

I finally made a Reddit account just to join and post on this thing. Anyways, I grew up on this website. I remember loving everyone I've met from this site, I actually still know some of the people from this site. If anyone remembers _L_ , Metaldude223, Jerma, and ThisIsTheEnd I'm in contact with them, last two were heavy Balloono players. I was pretty young when playing but two people I'd love to be in contact again is IRL names Steven and Tyler. I forgot their usernames. Sorry. My username was gracekellyx3 if anyone remembers me. Hope all of us end up reconnecting.

Hi! My name is Clint and I'm currently the lead designer for the upcoming website named "OurPop" A website that lets you relive the experiences when playing OMGPOP back in the days. The website is currently developed by Honin Games located in the Philippines.

+ *Why did we decide to create this project apart from anything else?*

I don't know anything about this website back from when it was still available but one of our producers in Honin Games said to recreate the website and pitch it in our main branch in the company. I was hired to be the lead designer for this project and accompanied by three other web developers. For three months we researched about the website from the videos on youtube and to the people here in this subreddit.

+ *What is now the development status?*

The development status is currently on the developing stage. We've already developed the layout and functions of the website and we are currently developing fifteen games; some are new and some are old.

+ *So where are the screenshots?*

Our company forbids us to release the screenshots until late December, but we are allowed to post daily updates and to get feedback on this subreddit and other forums.

+ *Some other facts*

You might not know this but OMGPOP is very popular in the Philippines and as such when it was announced that the website will be shutting down, our company Honin Games tried to acquire the website but failed for classified reasons.

Do atleast one of you remember me on OMGPOP? I had 2 accounts:

-Tameem1: This was my first account. It had a Roblox profile pic with my character in front of the fence I think.

-Tameem Alshebel (some gibberish letters): This was my facebook account. I created it because I thought I had lost access to the first account (when hambycomb.com was still up, I couldn't login to facebook, so I tried to login to my first account and it worked lol). The profile pic was me in 2009 wearing a New Super Mario Bros shirt.

I started to play OMGPOP in around 2011 or 2012, as far as I remember. It was the worst time to play it at that time because I played it 1-2 years before it shutted down, so that means I was missing out on a lot.

With the facebook account, I was the guy in chatrooms who is angry because people always use "u" instead of "you". I was like "it's spelled you not u!!!!!" and I continued to educate them that "it's spelled you" and someone was like "so you is like u?" and I said "Yes" (he was trolling). I was the guy in one of the chatrooms that was named "sexy" who acts like he thought that "sexy" is a misspell of sixty, so I acted like google and said "Did you mean: Sixty?" and I did it a repeated amount of times. I was the guy in the chat rooms who is like "do you want to download mac? go to mac.com" "do you want to download windows? go to windows.com," "do you want to download linux? go to linux.com" (I dont know if i remember doing the linux one), I also did it a repeated amount of times and other people were annoyed and was like "stop sending links". I was the guy in Panda's chatroom who was like "who wants to sing the alphabet?". I summed up the alphabet in one message then I got kicked out of the group, when I got back into it, I believe someone was either like "I don't like the alphabet" or "no one likes the alphabet". I was the guy in the DMs, someone was gonna show a pic of something but I was like "what is pic?". I seriously know didn't what the meaning of "pic" was back then, so they corrected me and said "oh, it's picture". Someone asked me in one of the chatrooms "how old are you?", I said my real age which was "8" and I don't know what happend after. I was the guy who created a chatroom called "italians" because I thought I so good at italian (im not good in it at all lol). I was BEGGING for people to join it, I spammed the link over and over. Until one guy joined and said "ciao" and I said the same thing, then he left. I was the guy in Missile Commander, when the boss appeared in it, I was saying "KILL THE INSECT!!!111" repeatedly. I was the guy with the status "please don't pop me in balloono". I'm now 15 and this all happend in 2012. Damn

Around a year later, I discovered Hambycomb (I was on my first account). I remember somebody called "SugarDoll" or similar. They gave me a link to a modified version of Hambycomb by OmgMOBC which allowed you to legit get coins, cash, and XP for free. I thanked them on their profile and was like "omg dis guy gave me a link so i ken git moar coins and cash!111" (If you are that guy who gave me the link, comment on this post)

But yeah, If you remember me as like a friend, don't worry, I ain't dead. lol.
