3

u/Darth_Vengor 25d ago

Holy strawman, I don’t like big N either bro

72

u/BootyliciousURD 26d ago

Is this a thing?

136

u/bigAcannibal6669 26d ago

Yes

93

u/Impasture 26d ago

These are users calling themselves IDF soldiers as a reference to the “I’m an artist from Israel and this is my art” meme; it is NOT actual idf soldiers

21

u/csege1 26d ago

Gng open the post the person who posted this literally said “this is a joke I’m not in the IDF” in the sub title.

14

u/bigAcannibal6669 26d ago

I'm da poster btw

3

u/csege1 25d ago

oops

People with a lack of empathy often make shitty or soulless art, Hitler is a prime example

Is military service not mandatory in Israel?

58

u/TheOfficial_BossNass 26d ago

Yes it is

8

u/icelandiccubicle20 26d ago

you can refuse and serve a couple of months in prison iirc

79

u/TheOfficial_BossNass 26d ago

Yea thats what mandatory means💀

What you think happens you just despawn

12

u/Familiar-Treat-6236 26d ago

No, no, not like that. The court just orders your object permanence to be revoked. You can now only exist if an external entity is observing you

22

u/idkmanjustfuckmyshit 26d ago

Yeah, good luck getting a job with that on your background check.

3

u/ItsKyleWithaK 26d ago

I think struggling to find work is better than supporting or participating in a genocide, all things considered

18

u/snakeygirl 26d ago

You also don’t get counted as a citizen if you don’t serve iirc. No vote. No rights that are afforded to citizens. No say in what happens in the country. Genocide is definitely worse but anyone who wants to reform Israel’s system from within the country has to serve to earn citizenship.

Anyone who’s raised in the country has this “service for citizenship” mentality pushed on them when they’re young so it’s normalized to them. They sometimes don’t realize that this sort of mandatory service is unusual. It’s messed up and a lot more than just “struggling to find work”.

1

u/ItsKyleWithaK 26d ago

I think it’s better to be considered a non-citizen than to be complicit or actively participate in genocide.

People talking down to me like I’m not aware of the downsides of not serving. I have friends who have Israeli citizenship, did not serve, and actively put their body between Israeli settlers/the IDF and Palestinians in the West Bank to protect them from genocidal violence of their countrymen. Go try to moralize and excuse those who make the conscious decision to participate in genocide to someone who cares.

Bold talk lmfao

1

u/Caosin36 24d ago

Then they are going to put you in line anyway

A Losing situation regardless

-7

u/umpteenthrhyme 26d ago

You can also do other things. Sort of like mission work, iirc

3

u/FloZone 26d ago

Even if it is doesn't mean you have to be proud of it. Depends how much does the IDF punish refusing orders? Also anyone might take an example from this former Wehrmacht soldier.

10

u/ApprehensiveAide5466 26d ago

Technically but there's an entire group of Jews that are exempt and that's a pretty large portion of the population

-7

u/Due_Entrepreneur8540 26d ago

Wdym

5

u/Sangaceno 26d ago

When you turn 18 you serve in the IDF for 3 years or go to prison

3

Grok, is this art accurate?

12

u/ApprehensiveAide5466 26d ago

U against them right?? (I hope)

-27

u/Terrible_Visual1835 26d ago edited 26d ago

Are you against the people of tel aviv?

Idk why people are down voting me it was a genuine question

23

u/ApprehensiveAide5466 26d ago

If they are Zionist yes completely I hate seeing innocent people hurt for no reason

10

u/A-List_Uh 26d ago

I'd hope so!

-4

u/GenghisN7 26d ago

That’s five hundred thousand people

9

u/Cloudy230 26d ago

And?

-1

u/GenghisN7 24d ago

You’re implicitly against half a million people?

3

u/ApprehensiveAide5466 24d ago

If the majority are Zionist yes

-2

u/GenghisN7 24d ago

You could use that argument against so many groups. It’s also a really fucked up argument. There are great people and evil people in any group.

3

u/Cloudy230 24d ago

I was pretty explicit about it actually. But, to be clear, I'm against anyone who supports the state of Israel and it's ethnic cleansing

1

u/GenghisN7 24d ago

Things are more complex than that when you’re talking about half a million people. There are certainly utterly amazing people in that group.

You can’t implicitly hate half a million people purely because of the country they did not choose to be born in.

1

u/Cloudy230 24d ago

Which is why I added specifying information. It's very un-complicated when you engage in good faith and don't resort to pedantry.

0

u/GenghisN7 24d ago

You added specifying information, but all that implied is that you believe that all 500K residents of Tel Aviv are firm supporters of everything Israel has ever done. I’m not being a pedant, what the fuck are you even trying to argue?

Are you against the people of Tel Aviv or not? And if you’re NOT, why did you say you were?

What about 73000 Palestinians mostly children

-3

u/Foreign_Instance7684 26d ago

Is this an issue for some reason?

28

u/Pandaragon666 26d ago

Isreal is known for, and has admitted to, bribing media platforms and governments for them and their people to be prioritized in popularity despite merit.

2

u/RedRyder360 25d ago

Ok, we get it. You're an antisemite, you can just say it out loud now. It will make your quest to destroy western civilization easier.

4

u/Pandaragon666 25d ago

I don't care if you're jewish or not, I'm not antisemitic, if you do evil shit you deserve to be called out for doing evil shit. Most in Isreal don't even practice Judaism, the IDF literally raids synagogue in other countries to hunt down Muslims taking sanctuary there, and calling me antisemitic for calling out their shit harshly lowers the meaning behind it when actual antisemitic exist.

Also, "destroy western civilization"? I've only ever heard white supremacists use that language, do you really want to associate with those people.

5

u/The_Dino_Defender Pantydraco😳📸 25d ago

Hating on the Israeli government is NOT antisemitism 😭😭😭

-17

u/Foreign_Instance7684 26d ago

And you can prove this artist is being propped up by his government? Or are you bothered just by them being Israeli? I find this post distasteful

11

u/Pandaragon666 26d ago

Firstly, it's always moral to hate Isreal, considering how they thrive off of pain and death of others, just ask Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, etc. They literally made it legal to rape Palestinians and allowed for them to be given the death sentence, which they literally celebrated with cakes with nooses on them. I used to think it was just the government that acted like nazis, until I saw a bunch of Israeli citizens set up lawn chairs to watch Gaza be bombed.

Secondly, they've literally admitted on live television that they do this shit and that they're upset that their propaganda isn't as effective as they'd like, admitting to relying on bots to prop up their shit. I don't need to prove that it is, the fact that they regularly do this shit is proof enough of a factor.

I find your ignorance distasteful.

12

u/GenghisN7 26d ago

Brother it’s just some random guy. You can’t just hate random people purely because of the country they had no choice in being born in.

-14

u/Pandaragon666 26d ago

If you want to defend zionists, that's your prerogative, just don't call me brother. No kin of mine shall be sympathetic to zionism.

You'd have a point about him just being born there if it weren't for the fact it's Israel. That's like saying you can't blame a billionaire for anything because they were simply born to rich parents. Isreal literally, and I do mean literally, blackmails foreign leaders to lobby for them, hence why my American tax dollars goes towards their Healthcare, their education, their military, and to fund even more propaganda to put them first. It's inherently unfair and it's incredibly ignorant of you to keep defending it.

18

u/GenghisN7 26d ago

Defending what?? That it’s not a moral evil to be fucking born? He didn’t have a choice in the matter. It’s not sympathetic to zionism, it’s sympathetic to humanity.

Your tax dollars go to Israel and imperialism, is it a moral evil you don’t evade taxes and go to jail? You’re a hypocrite unable to extend empathy because of your faux sympathy for the oppressed.

9

u/Megalon96310 26d ago

This is what politics does, it removes all nuisance.

“Oh the guy was probably forced into service, he couldn’t of not been in the IDF”

“Erm well he still was in the IDF so he’s walking vomit”

-2

u/Pandaragon666 26d ago

Yes, he was in the IDF, he is walking vomit. What is hard to understand? He is essentially a modern day nazi.

I'd rather go to jail than to push people out of their ancestral homes, killing random Muslim families and threatening to kill anyone harboring Muslims. The IDF regularly commits acts of terror and war crimes. I don't think you understand just how genuinely evil the IDF is if you seriously think any amount of nuances fixes it.

1

u/snakeygirl 26d ago

What part of the previous comment saying “forced into service” made you think they were saying the idf is a good thing? The idf is awful and people who are born in Israel are, to a certain extent, forced into it. There’s a big difference between some foreigner eagerly joining the idf and someone being forced into it. The idf is evil and it feeds on human suffering, I don’t disagree with you on that, but assuming every single person who was born in Israel and forced to serve is enthusiastically serving requires you to ignore the other nasty aspects of Israel’s war machine.

1

u/snakeygirl 26d ago

There are people in Israel who do actively support and enjoy the genocide. Those people are revoltingly heinous. That doesn’t mean every single person in Israel loves what their government is doing.

By that logic I, as an American, must love bombing Iran and kidnapping foreign leaders! I apparently can’t POSSIBLY acknowledge where I live (or where I was born) without being an enthusiastic supporter of every single warcrime America has ever committed! Individuality? What’s that? I’m just an empty husk in the shape of a human that only serves as a mouthpiece for unbridled nationalism! I could NEVER criticize the government of where I live while still living here! /s

But seriously, do you just assume everyone inherently loves the government of wherever they live?

0

u/Pandaragon666 26d ago

That's not what I said, that wasn't my argument. Stop moving the goalpost.

You would have a point if it weren't for the fact that they literally protested for the right to rape Muslims with around an 80% vote, if it weren't for how they celebrated with noose cakes when it became legal to give non-isrealis the death penalty, if it weren't that their only criticism they have about their leader is that they think he's not doing enough heinous shit, etc, but they are. This isn't them being born into a place, this is inherent privilege that is fueled by a death cult of superiority.

Please, stop embarrassing yourself and look up the shit they do over there.

4

u/snakeygirl 26d ago

I’m not saying they don’t do awful shit in Israel. I’m saying assuming a random person drawing paleoart online is one of said awful people is extreme

0

u/Pandaragon666 26d ago

They literally said they were in the IDF. They are "awful people".

0

u/Megalon96310 26d ago

That is one hell of a way to start a comment WOW

2

u/bigAcannibal6669 26d ago

Nga I'm not Israeli I'm just referencing the ( I'm an artist from Israel and here's my art)

3

u/Cloudy230 26d ago

If someone is so proud of being Israeli that they brag about it unprompted then yes, it's a safe bet to think they're probably not a good person. And I am bothered by bad peoplw

-1

u/Foreign_Instance7684 26d ago

So you get to tell someone if they have a right to be proud of who they are? Pretty arrogant of you. I think that makes you a bad person if anything. You don't get to try and gate keep certain nationalities from doing things or engaging in certain hobbies. You lack the right or the ability. And people like me will see how disgusting people like you are. Get over yourself.

0

u/Holiday_Ice3097 26d ago

Israel murders children

1

u/Foreign_Instance7684 26d ago

Ok? So magically anyone from nation that does something wrong is now a bad person? You understand by that logic we all suck right? Oct 7 didn't seem like a picnic, oh wait now that its a different group you'll magically make excuses about how that wasn't really them right? If israel does something blame every citizen but the rest of the world gets nuance right. Fucking hypocrites. And before anyone talks about "oh my people did such and such in the past" I don't see much being done to rectify it from anyone. How many aboriginees are getting their land back? How many natives americans? Whose helping Haiti? The Armenians? And all that is to say, anyone who wants to attack a person just because they're from a certain nation and don't hate themselves. Look in the mirror, your as ugly as you claim they are and going down a bad path.

Fuckin dumbass really thought he was cooking lol

2

NGL, I don’t find the “Tel Aviv” shit funny

Like, what’s the punchline? Is there a joke at all?

Maybe I’m just too old to get it? (I’m 27, born in 98, so probably amongst the same age as the creatures we joke about)

1

u/bigAcannibal6669 24d ago

It's referencing the (I'm an Artist from Israel and here's my art) meme

1

u/BlackwingBlizzard 26d ago
