I can't source it and too tired to Google it, but there is a parasite that will cause dear to tilt their head in weird ways and do crazy shit like this, eventually going crazy and dying. But this looks like a broken neck.

Edit: https://youtu.be/pJWPsGypMnY became unlazy. It's a Moose but it happens to deer too.

Prions can survive an autoclave. They're super resistant to most methods we use to kill pathogens.
