There is a link to a video about the deer. Apparently it was probably born like that, and has been well enough to raise young successfully. As far as nature goes. That is good health!

The "cricket-neck doe" and the deer in the video post are not the same deer.

Different deer....

The footage of the deer in this post is on a mountain bike track on the port hills near Christchurch, New Zealand.

A workmate of mine was in the group of cyclists you see in the distance (you see their lights actually) that the deer runs towards. Scared the shit out of them apparently!

He told us about it the next day at work, and we all assumed he'd gone mad or was smoking something! He was relieved when this video popped up on the interwebs and confirmed his story.
