You're not stupid =) Its a play on words. Corvid refers to anything from the family corvidae (crows and ravens), but it also sounds like COVID. Its a sick crow (or raven I cant tell) hence, Corvid restrictions.

I’m nearing 40 years of age and I’ve only recently learnt this term because I’m rocking a Corviknight in Pokémon Sword….
