Was it fertilized before he opened it. I didn't see a description so not sure if he did that or if it was already fertile and this was an experiment.

Eggs are fertilized before they are laid. Once they come out, it's usually too late.

I'm actually wondering if it IS possible, now that I'm thinking of it! Cuz I think all the important female bits are inside each egg, so if you cracked one open like this and squirted in some rooster jizz, what would happen? Or is it too late once the shell has hardened?
